NBA Player Props Today – Sunday, May 19, 2024

Tyrese Haliburton Over/Under 18.5 Points
Anthony Edwards Over/Under 28.5 Points
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Over/Under 2.5 Assists

Tyrese Haliburton Over/Under 18.5 Points

Tyrese Haliburton simply hasn’t been very effective on the offensive end of the floor during the postseason outside of a few games. Haliburton scored 18 points or fewer in 5 of 6 games in the opening round against the Bucks, and he has 15 points or fewer in 3 of 6 games against the Knicks in the second round.

Most notable is the fact that Haliburton has attempted 15 shots or fewer in each of his last 3 games. New York has done a good job taking away the effectiveness of Haliburton as a scorer in this matchup. Expect more of the same in Game 7.

Anthony Edwards Over/Under 28.5 Points

Anthony Edwards has scored fewer than 29 points in back-to-back games entering play on Sunday, but that streak is likely to end this evening. Is it too simplistic to say that Edwards has talked too much trash not to show up in a big way in this spot?

If we take a more analytical approach, there is still a lot of support for this play. Edwards has played at least 35 minutes on 2+ days rest 9 times since the beginning of last season. In those 9 games, he has 7 games with 29+ points and 4 games with 35+ points. Edwards is likely to show up in a big way with his team’s season on the line.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Over/Under 2.5 Assists

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has tallied 3+ assists in 5 of 6 games to begin this series against the Timberwolves, but it’s worth noting that he’s averaging only 4.0 potential assists per game.

For context, Caldwell-Pope averaged only 2.4 assists on 3.7 potential assists per game during the regular season. Caldwell-Pope is on an unsustainable run of converting potential assists to actual assists, and it likely comes to an end sooner rather than later. The math favors the under here.
