NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, December 5, 2024
- Nikola Vucevic Over/Under 19.5 Points
- Jonathan Kuminga Over/Under 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
- Devin Vassell Over/Under 17.5 Points
Nikola Vucevic OVER 19.5 Points (-125, BetMGM)
Coby White, Chicago’s 3rd-leading scorer this season, has been ruled out tonight due to a left ankle sprain. That could mean more opportunities for Vucevic, especially with Victor Wembanyama ruled out for the Spurs. According to CourtIQ, Vucevic is averaging 25.2 points per 36 minutes this season with White off of the floor. With White out on Monday, Vucevic scored 21 points in only 28 minutes in a blowout victory against the Nets. Assuming a more competitive game script tonight, Vucevic should see 30+ minutes in a favorable matchup against a San Antonio defense that is likely to struggle to defend around the rim. The math favors the over.
Jonathan Kuminga OVER 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-106, FanDuel)
Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have both been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Rockets, which should lead to a dramatically expanded role for Jonathan Kuminga. According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Kuminga has seen a 5.6% increase in usage rate this season with Curry and Green both off of the floor – the highest increase in usage of any player on the Warriors. In those situations, Kuminga is averaging 24.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per 36 minutes. If Kuminga sees close to 30 minutes of playing time this evening, he should have a great chance to get the job done here.
Devin Vassell OVER 17.5 Points (-115, bet365)
Vassell has missed quite a bit of time early this season due to injuries, but when he’s been on the floor, he’s been plenty productive. On a per-minute basis, he’s been tremendously productive as a scorer with Victor Wembanyama off of the floor, averaging 29.3 points per 36 minutes. Vassell hasn’t played more than 28 minutes in any game this season, but he’s gradually been increasing his workload over the past week since returning to action. If he plays north of 30 minutes tonight, he could threaten for 20+ points against a Chicago defense that has been among the worst in the league this season.
