NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, February 13, 2025

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander UNDER 31.5 Points (-115, bet365)

Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging a league-leading 32.6 points per game this season, but this could potentially be a spot where we see him let off of the gas pedal to some degree. Oklahoma City is a 9-point favorite tonight, facing a Minnesota team that has Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Mike Conley listed as questionable, in addition to already having ruled out Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo. If Edwards or any of the other Timberwolves’ starters end up being ruled out, this could be a game that the Thunder win handily. Gilgeous-Alexander has gone under this number in 20 of 36 games this year in which Oklahoma City wins by 10+ points, including 8 of 13 road contests. He’s also scored 25 points or fewer in 2 of his 3 games played on the road this season on zero days rest. This could be a sneaky spot to target an under on one of the NBA’s most talented players.

Anthony Edwards UNDER 29.5 Points (-115, bet365)

Edwards has scored 41+ points in 3 of his last 4 games, and 28+ points in 4 consecutive contests entering play on Thursday, but he’s needed an extraordinary number of shot attempts to make that happen. Edwards, who averaged 20.9 shots per game in January, hasn’t taken fewer than 25 shots in any of his last 4 trips to the hardwood. Notably, he took 33 shots yesterday against the Bucks.

The Thunder won’t have Alex Caruso available tonight, but the Thunder perimeter defense remains one of the better units in the NBA nonetheless. There are some injury concerns for the Timberwolves ahead of tip-off, so bettors may want to wait here, but it’s difficult to see Edwards continuing to see this level of volume. Any regression in terms of shot attempts is only going to make it more difficult for Edwards to get to 30 points.

Ben Simmons UNDER 5.5 Assists (-130, bet365)

Simmons is expected to make his Clippers’ debut on Thursday, but his role remains completely undefined heading into tonight’s action. Simmons averaged 6.9 assists in 25 minutes per game with the Nets this season prior to being granted his release earlier this month. However, he had a clear path to ball-handling duties for sizable portions of his time on the court in Brooklyn. That is far from a guarantee in Los Angeles, where he will likely be forced to share at least some minutes with James Harden and/or Kris Dunn. This is a bit of a speculative play given the lack of clarity on what to expect from Simmons this evening, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him be limited in his team debut as he gets up to speed.
