Thursday’s NBA slate features 9 games, including a 10:00 PM ET matchup between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers – a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. Prior to tip-off, the Lakers will unveil a Kobe Bryant statue outside of the arena, honoring his legacy and celebrating his contributions to the game of basketball.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 53.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Khris Middleton has been ruled out for tonight’s contest due to a left ankle sprain, but this market number is still unjustifiably high for Giannis in this matchup. Giannis has only eclipsed this market number 12 times in 49 games this season, and he is only 3-for-10 to the over when Middleton is inactive. According to CourtIQ, Giannis is averaging 31.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per 36 minutes this season with Middleton off of the floor, which gives us healthy margins in this spot against a tough Minnesota defense. The under has a lot of value.

Coby White Over/Under 24.5 Points
White has exploded for 35 points, 26 points, and 33 points in his last 3 games, but he has also experienced an unsustainable run of excellent efficiency during that stretch. In those 3 games, he never shot worse than 52.4% from the field or 40% from beyond the arc. Notably, he went 11-for-20 from downtown in his 2 most recent games. Tonight, White is playing his first game following a 42-minute effort in an overtime win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday. He has been far less efficient on the road in the immediate aftermath of playing 40+ minutes, including a 7-for-19 showing against the Trail Blazers and an 8-for-18 shooting performance against the Lakers during the second half of January. He likely comes crashing down to earth a little bit this evening.

Anthony Davis Over/Under 23.5 Points
Davis has been somewhat quiet offensively of late, but he has still scored at least 22 points in 5 of his last 6 games at what feels like far less than 100 percent intensity. Tonight, Davis gets a matchup against the Nuggets, who have been mediocre on the defensive end of the floor, ranking 15th in defensive rating across their last 13 games. In 7 road games during that stretch, Denver has been even worse, ranking 22nd in defensive rating. Davis has been at his best at home this season, averaging 25 points per game on 58.2% shooting from the floor. He should have every opportunity to get the job done here.
