NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, February 27, 2024
- Stephen Curry Over/Under 29.5 Points
- Kristaps Porzingis Over/Under 26.5 Points + Rebounds
- Bam Adebayo Over/Under 20.5 Points
Stephen Curry Over/Under 29.5 Points
Following a 6-for-19 shooting performance on Sunday against the Nuggets, Golden State’s head coach, Steve Kerr, mentioned he thought Stephen Curry looked tired. Curry refuted the claim, but it’s worth wondering if there is any validity to Kerr’s comments, given that Curry has scored 20 points or fewer in 2 of his 3 games coming out of the All-Star Break. Tonight, Curry gets another tough matchup against the Wizards, which have allowed the 8th-fewest 3-point attempts per game in February and the 2nd-lowest opponent success rate on such attempts. Only one point guard has scored 30 points against Washington in the last 3 weeks, and it was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored exactly 30 points after having a pre-game line of over/under 30.5 points. There is value on the under for Curry this evening.
- PICK: Stephen Curry UNDER 29.5 Points (-115), FanDuel
Kristaps Porzingis Over/Under 26.5 Points + Rebounds
Kristaps Porzingis has been on a tear during the month of February, averaging 23.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the Celtics. Tonight, he gets an extremely favorable matchup against the 76ers, which rank 28th in defensive rating this month. Since Joel Embiid went down with an injury at the end of January, Philadelphia has struggled mightily to defend opposing centers, allowing 5 of the last 7 centers they have faced (excluding Isaiah Hartenstein, who was on a minutes restriction) to cover their points + rebound prop. There is also an odd trend for Porzingis this season in which he has excelled on Tuesdays. It probably doesn’t mean much, but he has posted at least 29 points + rebounds in 9 of his 10 games played on Tuesday this season.
- PICK: Porzingis OVER 26.5 Points + Rebounds (-120), BetMGM
Bam Adebayo Over/Under 20.5 Points
After serving a suspension for fighting against the Pelicans, Jimmy Butler is expected to return to the floor tonight for the Heat, which means a likely regression in scoring for Adebayo. In 13 games from January 15th to February 7th with Butler active, Adebayo averaged only 16 points on 13.2 shot attempts per game. As bad as Portland has been defensively of late overall, they have done a reasonably good job in the paint, ranking 7th in opponent success rate on such attempts in February. The under is a worthwhile risk in this spot.
- PICK: Adebayo UNDER 20.5 Points (-105), BetMGM
