NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, January 14, 2025

Bobby Portis OVER 11.5 Points (-106, FanDuel)

Khris Middleton has been ruled out for tonight’s action, which should mean a bigger role for Bobby Portis. This season, Portis is averaging 13.4 points per 24 minutes with Middleton off of the floor, per RotoGrinders CourtIQ.

This evening, Portis draws a favorable matchup against the Kings, which have struggled to defend forwards of late. In January, Sacramento is allowing the 5th-most field goal attempts per game to opposing forwards. Entering play, 6 of the last 8 power forwards to face the Kings have gone over their points prop.

Portis should have enough opportunities on Tuesday to make this a play worthy of consideration.

Caris LeVert OVER 2.5 Rebounds (-140, Bet365)

Caris LeVert has quietly been rebounding the ball very well of late, averaging 3.6 rebounds and 6.6 rebound chances across 5 games to begin January. He’s had 6+ rebound chances in 4 of those 5 contests, indicating that he’s consistently had his opportunities to make an impact on the glass in that span.

This evening, he gets to face a Pacers team that ranks 19th in rebounds allowed to guards across their last 10 games. Assuming LeVert sees 20+ minutes on Tuesday, he should have a good chance to cash this wager.

Deandre Ayton UNDER 10.5 Rebounds (-115, Bet365)

Since Jerami Grant last played on December 28, Deandre Ayton is averaging only 9.2 rebounds and 12.5 rebound chances per game. During that span, he has 2 games in which he hasn’t even had 10 rebound chances.

This evening, he draws a tough matchup against a Brooklyn team that has not allowed many double-digit rebounding games of late. In January, the only centers to manage 10+ rebounds against the Nets are Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic. Much of this has to do with the fact that Brooklyn plays at an extremely slow pace, which limits total possessions in their games.

Ayton simply hasn’t had a ton of volume in recent weeks on the glass. He would likely need to be unsustainably efficient with his opportunities this evening to get to 11+ boards.
