NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, May 7, 2024

Jarrett Allen Over/Under 13.5 Points
Jalen Williams Over/Under 21.5 Points
Lu Dort Over/Under 3.5 Rebounds

Jarrett Allen Over/Under 13.5 Points

Allen has eclipsed this market number in each of his 4 postseason games, but should he return tonight (listed as questionable), he will be facing a much tougher opponent. The Celtics are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, which is only further troubling for Allen, who would be coming back from an injury.

Though it seems increasingly likely that Allen will suit up this evening, it’s worth wondering how effective he will be. Reportedly, Allen has had difficulty lifting his arm and was seen sitting on the sidelines as shootaround concluded this morning. It could be difficult for the big fella to score the basketball.

Jalen Williams Over/Under 21.5 Points

Williams showed up in a big way in Oklahoma City’s opening round series against the Pelicans, averaging 21.3 points on 17 field goal attempts per game. Notably, he never took fewer than 16 shots in any game.

Williams has really come into his own as a legitimate scorer in the NBA. Combining his shot-making ability with the fact that he is likely to play nearly 40 minutes, and it becomes easy to see a path to him scoring 22+ points if he can be reasonably efficient with his opportunities.

Lu Dort Over/Under 3.5 Rebounds

Dort rebounded the ball particularly well in the first round of these playoffs against the Pelicans, averaging 4.3 rebounds. In those 4 games, he eclipsed this market number 3 times, including an 8-rebound performance in a series-clinching victory last Monday. Dort is a defensive specialist who should find himself with enough rebounding opportunities to be consistently competitive at this market number as long as he stays out of foul trouble.
