NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, October 29, 2024

Keegan Murray UNDER 2.5 Made 3-Pointers (-115, DraftKings)

Murray had extreme home-and-away splits last season, shooting 40.3% from deep at home compared to 30.9% on the road. In his lone road game this season, Murray went 2-for-7 from 3-point territory against the Lakers. Simply, he’s someone who is usually a prime regression candidate when playing on the road, and the books typically don’t fully adjust his lines to account for that phenomenon. Last season, Murray went under this market number in 27 of 39 road contests, including 6 of 7 road games when playing on zero days rest. The under has quite a bit of value here.

Buddy Hield UNDER 17.5 Points (-122, FanDuel)

Hield should have plenty of volume from the floor tonight, but it remains to be seen how many quality looks a Stephen Curry-less offense will be able to generate for him. After Curry left Golden State’s most recent game, the Warriors struggled mightily to efficiently move the basketball, which led to a number of forced looks for Hield. Hield ended the night shooting a season-worst 3-for-14 from the field, including 1-for-9 from long range. Efficiency could be an issue for him, making this a tough number to clear, even in an expanded role.

Lauri Markkanen UNDER 23.5 Points (-118, FanDuel)

Markkanen had 35 points in Utah’s season opener against Memphis but has otherwise struggled tremendously with his shot this season. He went 4-for-17 against the Warriors this past Friday and 4-for-15 against the Mavericks yesterday. Last season, Markkanen went under this market in 2 of 3 games playing on zero days rest at home and went under in 4 of 7 games overall on no rest. Markkanen would need a rapid increase in offensive efficiency to flirt with 25 points this evening – something that could be tough on tired legs, playing at significant altitude.
