Jalen Brunson Over/Under 6.5 Assists
Since January 1, only Tyrese Haliburton and Trae Young are averaging more potential assists per game than Brunson. In 6 games since Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett were traded to the Raptors, Brunson has fallen short of this market number only once – in a game against the 76ers, a team that had allowed the fewest assists per game during the last 30 days ahead of that matchup. In 2 games since Dillon Brooks returned to the lineup for the Rockets, Houston ranks near the middle of the pack in terms of assists allowed per game. Tyrese Maxey had 7 assists against the Rockets earlier this week. Brunson should be able to get the job done in this spot.

Khris Middleton Over/Under 4.5 Rebounds
Entering play on Wednesday, Middleton has only eclipsed this market number in 13 of 34 games overall and only 2 of 14 games since December 17th. In those 14 games, Middleton is averaging only 6.9 rebound chances per game, which is not nearly enough opportunities to consistently collect 5+ rebounds. Last season, Middleton converted only 55.7% of his rebound chances to actual rebounds. Less than 7 rebound chances per game will routinely convert to 4 rebounds or fewer for Middleton at that average conversion rate. The math favors the under for him tonight against the Cavaliers.

Luka Doncic Over/Under 9.5 Assists
Since Kyrie Irving returned to the floor on January 1st, Doncic is averaging only 8.3 assists and 10.3 potential assists per game. Irving has taken over a sizable amount of responsibility as a co-facilitator in that stretch, averaging 8.2 potential assists from January 1st to January 9th, with Doncic playing 4 of the team’s 5 games in that stretch. This market number is simply too high in a mediocre matchup against a Lakers defense that ranks 17th in assists allowed per game in January.
