NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Thursday (1/16)
I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.
Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.
We have 5 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/16. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Thursday evening.

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.
I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. PrizePicks Top NBA Picks for 1/16
Now that you’re signed up, here are some of our top NBA picks on PrizePicks for 1/16 at a glance:
- Tyus Jones More/Less Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds
- Toumani Camara More/Less Than 11.5 Points
- Cason Wallace More/Less Than 16.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Suns vs. Wizards NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Suns vs. Wizards NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Tyus Jones Less Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds
Even with the Bradley Beal injury, RotoGrinders projects him at 12.61 Points + Rebounds, offering a 4.63% edge. Our sims show a 62.36% hit rate for staying under this mark. It’s not surprising our sims like the under. We have Jones projected for around 27 minutes, and he’s sporting a paltry 15.6% usage rating without Beal this season.
Clippers vs. Trail Blazers NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Clippers vs. Trail Blazers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Toumani Camara Less Than 11.5 Points
RotoGrinders projects him at 9.53 Points with Deni Avdija (ankle) out. Our sims show this with a 4.47% edge and a 62.2% hit rate for staying under this mark. He’ll see extended minutes, but he’ll need to be efficient to eclipse this mark with a subpar usage projection.
Cavaliers vs. Thunder NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Cavaliers vs. Thunder NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Cason Wallace Less Than 16.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
RotoGrinders projects him at 14.48 Points + Rebounds + Assists. Our sims have this with a 3.63% edge and a 61.37% hit rate for staying under this mark. Across 38 games, Wallace has averaged 7.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, totaling 13.1 Points + Rebounds + Assists. He could see increased usage with Isaiah Hartenstein out, but our numbers still like him to be less than this projection.
