NFL DFS High Total Games Report: Week 10

Vegas implied team totals are a solid foundational baseline for NFL DFS scoring opportunity each week. We can often make highly educated assessments on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo when we properly understand where the betting market sets the line for each game. In this article, we’ll open the GridironIQ betting tab and overview some key spots with high betting totals for the week. We’ll look for teams that can provide us high expectations for fantasy point production for the upcoming week. Our projections and projected ownership will be partially influenced by these data points, and we’ll want to be sure we know where the bookmakers stand for each and every game this week.

Today’s NFL DFS High Total Games Report

Arizona Cardinals

Opponent: Buffalo Bills
Game Total: 56
Team Total: 29
Point Spread: -2

Shaping up as a fantasy shootout, the Arizona Cardinals will host the Buffalo Bills as 2-point home favorites. Opening with a total of 52-points the line has already been bet up to 56-points and sits as the highest totaled game of the week. This is a big-time pace up spot for the Bills as the Cardinals play at the second quickest situation neutral pace in the league and allow the sixth-most plays per game to opposing offenses. The Bills have posted a middling run-pass split throughout the season but had a 38-19 run-to-pass ratio in last week’s victory over the Seahawks and could be forced to throw the ball more often to keep pace with Arizona’s potent offense. Perhaps the most important injury situation to monitor, Kenyan Drake resumed practicing on Wednesday and is questionable to suit up against the Bills. If Drake were to miss another week, Chase Edmonds would become one of the slate’s premier running back options despite an underwhelming Week 9 performance.

Los Angeles Rams

Opponent: Seattle Seahawks
Game Total: 55.5
Team Total: 28.75
Point Spread: -2

The biggest fantasy cheat code of the season has been simply stacking opposing passing attacks against the Seahawks. Seattle’s defense has allowed the league’s most plays per game (73.6) this year and the most points to both the QB and WR positions. This is a smash spot for the Rams offense who already plays at one of the league’s quickest situation neutral paces. The Rams have run the ball at the seventh-highest rate this season but look for Sean McVay to rely more heavily on Jared Goff and his weapons against a porous Seattle secondary. Fantasy production remains highly concentrated on Seattle’s side of the ball, with Rusell Wilson, D.K. Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett doing the heavy lifting.

Cleveland Browns

Opponent: Houston Texans
Game Total: 53
Team Total: 28
Point Spread: -3

It’s a little weird to see the Cleveland Browns listed with one of the highest team totals on the board but the Houston Texans do tend to boost opposing offenses significantly. With Nick Chubb expected back for Cleveland and OBJ sidelined, the biggest difficulty will be predicting where the Browns fantasy production will come from. In terms of DFS, it will be tough to invest heavily in any sort of Chubb-Kareem Hunt split and Baker Mayfield pass-catching options are hardly exciting. It is possible that Austin Hooper, who is set to return after an appendectomy, goes a bit overlooked and his price is extremely accessible across the industry. On Houston’s side of the ball, it will be important to monitor David Johnson (concussion) status. If Johnson is unable to go, Duke Johnson should fill in as the Texans every-down back and makes for a strong play at his price point.
