What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Gardner Minshew + Xavier Worthy – The Chiefs are without Patrick Mahomes and have no reason to risk a more serious injury to Rashee Rice. Minshew to Worthy is an awfully cheap stack that allows you to spend up at the other positions (I love using two expensive running backs this week). Minshew has played well in his spot starts throughout his career, and Worthy is too cheap for his projected role as the WR1 in this offense. They have an excellent matchup against the Titans, who are ranked 25th or worse in EPA allowed per dropback and fantasy points allowed to both quarterbacks and wide receivers.

stevietpfl: J.J. McCarthy + Justin Jefferson – I’m looking to be a little different this time of the season. The Vikings and Giants are both eliminated from the playoffs, but both teams will be looking to see what they have for 2026. McCarthy has started to play better and will look to finish the season strong. The Giants have allowed the 4th-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Justin Jefferson has been extremely tilting this season, and again, I’m going to play him this weekend. Jefferson ran a route on 96.2% of the drop backs last week. He was the first read 38.9% of the time and led the team in air yards with 32%. This is the matchup where Jefferson could have a big game, or I’m going to tilt yet again.

Krayton: Jared Goff + Jahmyr Gibbs + Jameson Williams – Detroit is my favorite team to target this week, and I think by going with Goff/Gibbs/Williams, it should get me unique enough in single-entry and multi-entry tournaments. Gibbs is coming off a game in which he put up single-digit fantasy points, which should keep his ownership in check. His ceiling is elite, and in a home matchup against the Steelers, I love pairing him with Goff along with Jameson Williams, who has had back-to-back-to-back big games with 9 or 10 targets in all of them. DK Metcalf is a great option to bring back this stack with.

ebeimfohr: Aaron Rodgers + DK Metcalf + Jameson Williams – Rodgers isn’t the same player as in his younger days, and Metcalf is a bit miscast as a true WR1 on a high-level offense, but this particular spot is as dreamy as it gets. Rodgers is still extremely elite against man coverage, which the Lions run at the 2nd-highest clip in the league. In their other matchup against a high man-coverage rate (Browns, tops in the league), Rodgers targeted Metcalf on 9-of-30 attempts, resulting in 95 yards and a TD. The Lions are missing a plethora of their defensive backfield, but they’re also still missing Sam LaPorta, which has unlocked Jamo as not just a high-upside option but a high-volume one as well, with 28 targets over the last 3 games.

ncorfield8k: Justin Herbert + Omarion Hampton + Ladd McConkey – In their last 2 games, the Cowboys have given up 34 points to Vikings (led by J.J. McCarthy) and 44 points to the Lions. Despite their additions, the defense has struggled. Quinnen Williams is questionable, so the matchup could revert to the matchup we were attacking every week early in the season. Even if Williams is active, it’s a matchup to attack. If Quentin Johnston ends up sitting, the usage should also be more condensed on the Chargers.

Davis Mattek: Jacoby Brissett + Marvin Harrison Jr. – This is a bit of a tricky one because I could be DEAD WRONG, but the last time MHJ missed time and came back (with the appendectomy), he immediately regained his role in the Arizona offense as the X wide receiver. Michael Wilson is nothing but an ancillary piece of the offense when Harrison is on the field. Brissett is now at 9 straight weeks of 19+ DK points. With MHJ likely not being owned, this feels free.

Jordan Vanek: Aaron Rodgers + DK Metcalf + Jahmyr Gibbs – The Lions play a ton of man coverage, and Rodgers has been excellent against man throughout his career. His ability to place the ball exactly where he wants it (and consistently keep it away from cornerbacks) is special, and he’s clearly gotten on the same page with Metcalf. The bring-back here for me is easily Gibbs. The Lions have made him game-script proof, and we’ve seen this Steelers run defense struggle against explosive backs. Since Dan Campbell took over play-calling duties, Gibbs has alternated between scoring 3 touchdowns and 0 touchdowns. He scored 0 last week, so maybe he’s due for 3.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
