What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play this week? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I play small-field tournaments. I am taking the risk of fading Lamar Jackson and playing Derrick Henry and the Pittsburgh passing game instead. My strategy could easily combust, but it could pay big dividends if it hits.

Stevietpfl: I typically play 1-5 lineups in single-entry contests and then make a 20-lineup build around the stacks I like. On this slate, I like a couple of different cheaper plays, which leads me to focus more on a 20-entry-max build. I will be overweight on Lamar Jackson and underweight on Derrick Henry and the other quarterbacks. I will play more Noah Gray than Travis Kelce to be different.

Krayton: I will continue to play single-entry contests and the 20-entry-max on DK this week. I will be taking a stand on being overweight Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews, and Isiah Pacheco. With Derrick Henry projected to be one of the most popular plays, I love the idea of focusing more on the pass catchers in the Ravens offense, especially Andrews.

ebeimfohr: My big stand on the slate is not a super unique one with Lamar Jackson + Zay Flowers (and the Ravens passing game overall), so I am looking to play more multi-entry tournaments. Lock-buttoning Lamar/Zay over a large number of lineups will be my differentiator, and I’ll let our NFL DFS projections and NFL DFS Sims guide me to the right pieces around them.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll be significantly above the field on Steelers stacks. Wilson and his pass catchers are both cheap and fairly contrarian, so I can surround them with some of the chalkier, highly-projected plays on the slate.

Davis Mattek: I will be jamming every form of contest this week (single entry and MME) because I think the field treating PIT/BAL as a more attractive spot than HOU/KC is just flat-out wrong.

What’s one rule/setting that you’re going to use in LineupHQ or SimLabs?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
