What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Josh Allen + Courtland Sutton – This is a unique stack in that I like the quarterback from one team and the WR1 from the opposing team. The playoffs are where Allen shines, and I fully expect the Bills to make a lengthy playoff run this season. Allen is one of only a few quarterbacks who is capable of taking a game over on the ground. On top of that, they have started using the tush push at the goal line. For those reasons, I could see Allen having 30+ fantasy points without having one of his receivers in the optimal lineup. Using Sutton instead makes sense, as he has a path to double-digit targets in a game where the Broncos will likely be trailing.

Stevietpfl: Jayden Daniels + Terry McLaurin + Bucky Irving – Daniels finished the regular season strong. He was a top-4 fantasy QB in Weeks 17, 16, 13, and 12. I think Josh Allen has more upside, but I think both QBs in this WAS/TB game make for great plays. McLaurin finished the season with 13 touchdowns, which was the 2nd-most receiving touchdowns in the league. He had a 26.8% first-read rate and 39.8% of the team’s air yards. Irving finished 10th in the NFL with 1,122 rushing yards and averaged an impressive 5.42 yards per carry. On this 3-game slate, Irving and McLaurin will likely be the players I have the most exposure to.

Krayton: Jayden Daniels + Bucky Irving – This is my favorite game and combination to target, as Daniels gets to face Tampa Bay, who has given up the 3rd-most passing yards per game (262) along with the 8th-most passing TDs per game (1.6) to QBs. Daniels has been playing at an elite level all season, and on the other side, Irving is one of my favorite plays on the slate. By the end of the season, Irving was owning this backfield. He finished the regular season going for 19 carries for 89 yards and a TD, and now he gets a favorable matchup, as Washington gave up the 4th-most rushing yards per game (114). With Irving really getting all the touches in this backfield, he is going to be a guy I want the most exposure to on the Tampa Bay side.

ebeimfohr: Jayden Daniels + Terry McLaurin – The Bucs are by far the best spot to attack for a QB and WR on this slate, and we are lucky enough to have a high-upside, dual-threat QB with his alpha WR available. McLaurin had just one down game over the last over his last six against shutdown coverage from AJ Terrell, but in his other five, he has scored at least 22 fantasy points in four of those (with a floor of 17). I also expect Daniels to use his legs as much as possible in a must-win playoff game, and the Bucs’ tough run defense should have the Commanders leaning heavily into their air attack.

ncorfield8k: Jayden Daniels + Terry McLaurin + Zach Ertz – The Buccaneers have been a pass-funnel defense in recent weeks, allowing the fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to running backs over the past 5 weeks while allowing the 13th most to receivers and the 11th most to tight ends. Daniels is one of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the game. McLaurin has scored more than 20 PPR fantasy points 6 times this season. Ertz has scored at least 14 PPR fantasy points 6 times, which should be plenty on a small slate at his price tag.

Davis Mattek: Jalen Hurts + A.J. Brown – It is not all that often on a small slate that the highest-ceiling players are also the lowest owned. How many times have we seen AJB go for 30+ or Hurts score 2 rushing touchdowns? I like the Baker Mayfield stacks as much as anyone else, but this is simply a layup spot at low projected ownership. Even if the pass volume is low, both guys can get there on efficiency.

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
