NFL DFS Showdown Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday Night Football

DRAFTKINGS

Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?

Notorious: Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley
headChopper: Jalen Hurts, Bijan Robinson, Saquon Barkley
ncorfield8k: Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Bijan Robinson
Davis Mattek: Bijan Robinson, Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith

What is your favorite game-script build and why?

Notorious: My favorite game script is where the Eagles build a big lead in the 1st half. This will be good for all of their playmakers, especially since their offense will be more concentrated without A.J. Brown. For the Falcons, I love Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts. Kirk Cousins was not mobile and wasn’t able to get much zip on his passes given his inability to plant that back foot. He’s going to be checking the ball down a lot this season. Robinson saw 7 targets in Week 1, and Pitts is running shorter routes this season.

headChopper: A lower-scoring, slow-paced, grind-it-out game. I think the loss of A.J. Brown takes away a lot of what the Eagles want to do in the passing game. I think Kirk Cousins is extremely immobile right now, and the Falcons will do whatever they can to hide it. I don’t think either team wants to get into a track meet here.

ncorfield8k: I like the idea of a sloppy game that results in the defenses doing well but also a lot of scoring. The field is generally opposed to playing a defense against the opposing quarterback, but I like leaning into it. Jalen Hurts threw 15 interceptions last season (3rd most in the league) and was also sacked the 11th most in the league. He was still the 2nd highest scoring quarterback on the season. Hurts can pretty easily have a big game while also giving up a touchdown to the Falcons defense.

Davis Mattek: I think the field is going to be VERY overconfident in the Eagles and their ability to blow out the Falcons. My expectation is that Kirk Cousins won’t look quite as bad as he did in Week 1 and that the Eagles offense is going to look much worse without A.J. Brown. I expect both teams to lean on their top RBs (i.e., Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson). For the second night in a row, I am betraying myself and playing a lot of lineups that lean towards the under. That means both RBs in lineups, being underweight on Drake London & DeVonta Smith compared to the field, and mixing-and-matching players like Grant Calcaterra, Charlie Woerner, etc.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large field, single entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
