What is your favorite game-script build and why?

Notorious: I’m hoping for a competitive, high-scoring game. With so many play makers who stand out in this game, I won’t have any exposure to the defenses or the kickers.

ncorfield8k: I think both of these quarterbacks rise to the occasion and that we see a lot of passing touchdowns. Even if Marshon Lattimore can lock down Mike Evans, I think Baker Mayfield will have success going to his other options. I suspect the Commanders will lean on the passing game throughout against a tough Bucs run defense.

Davis Mattek: I am hoping that both of these offenses play as they did for the majority of the season and that we get a game that goes over its total. Both defenses really struggle against QBs who are top 15 in EPA or higher, and they are not great at stopping the deep ball. I think we see both teams go over 35 pass attempts in a pretty fun game.

Bobby Gomes: My favorite game script build will be to lean on Jayden Daniels and the Commanders’ passing game, particularly with Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz. Obviously Baker Mayfield and his pass-catching weapons cannot be overlooked at home. I will be overweight on Bucky Irving, as the Commanders allowed the 3rd-most rushing yards per game this season (137.5). Daniels’ rushing equity enables me to fade Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
