Noto's NFL DFS Key Personnel: Week 11

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article for Week 11, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming featured slate.
Welcome back! It’s never a great week of NFL DFS when you can’t really remember the slate a few days later. I made the mistake of tinkering with my lineups too much on Sunday morning. I ended up rostering far too many plays that I didn’t have much interest in at the start of the week. Even though I was well over the field on Jahmyr Gibbs, it wasn’t enough to overcome all of the bad plays littered throughout my lineups. I’m ready to turn the page.
We will dedicate Week 11 to none other than Larry Fitzgerald, who wore number 11 in his 17-year career with the Arizona Cardinals. It’s wild to think he was able to play that long when the average length of an NFL career is only 3.3 years. He was recently inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame after amassing over 1,400 receptions, over 17,000 yards, and 121 touchdowns in his career. He was all about hard work, so it was easy to find inspirational quotes from him:
“You can’t cheat the game. It knows how much you’ve put into it, and it’ll give back to you exactly what you deserve.”
Love it.
“You don’t wake up great. You wake up, work hard, and get better each day.”
Preach, Fitz.
“Success is not owned. It’s leased, and rent is due every day.”
As the kids say, let him cook.
These are all great quotes and ones that I am going to save in my notes app for future reference. You can’t expect good things to happen to you without putting in the work. This is great advice for DFS and something we should keep in mind as we prepare for each slate.

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for Week 11
We are almost done with bye weeks in the NFL, which means the main slates will continue to grow in size. We have 11 games on the main slate this weekend, as there are a couple of teams on bye and an overseas game on Sunday morning. My favorite part about the slate is that there are good spends and good salary saves at every position, so there are many different paths we can take with our roster construction. It’s a great week to build multiple tournament lineups.
Top Quarterback Plays
Early in the week, it looks like most DFS players are looking to save at quarterback. We have three expensive signal callers who are all projected for less than 10% ownership. This allows us to be unique with our roster construction right from the start. This doesn’t mean I will be exclusively paying up at the position, but I do like that approach for GPPs.
Tier 1 – Core Plays

The Bills are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Dolphins in Miami. Good football teams know how to bounce back, and that’s exactly what I’m expecting from Buffalo this weekend. Josh Allen ($7,000 DK / $9,000 FD) has been one of the most consistent producers in fantasy football this season. He has scored at least 21 fantasy points in 7 of 9 games. He’s thrown for 15 touchdowns and has rushed for 7 more. I love his matchup this week against the Buccaneers, who have an elite run defense. If Allen drops back 35+ times in this game, he could be the highest-scoring quarterback on the slate.
J.J. McCarthy ($5,200 DK / $6,800 FD) hasn’t been efficient through the air this season, but he has still topped 16 fantasy points in 3 of 4 games. He has been solid on the ground, rushing for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns. If he can finally have a good game through the air, he should be one of the top point-per-dollar producers at quarterback. It’s hard to ask for a better matchup, as the Bears are 21st in EPA allowed per dropback and 31st in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.
Tier 2 – Strong Plays

Brock Purdy ($5,800 DK / $7,100 FD) is practicing this week and hoping to suit up against the Cardinals. He’s cheap on both sites and one of the most stackable quarterbacks on the slate. You can pair him up with Christian McCaffrey, Jauan Jennings, or George Kittle. It’s easy to bring back the Purdy stack with Trey McBride, who projects way better than any other tight end on the slate. It’s a decent matchup on paper, as the Cardinals are 18th in EPA allowed per dropback.
On the other side of that game, Jacoby Brissett ($4,900 DK / $7,000 FD) stands out as a strong value play for the fifth week in a row. Since taking over as the starter, he has scored 25, 21, 25, and 21 fantasy points. While Marvin Harrison being out hurts Brissett’s appeal a little, it should open up some value in the receiving room. His solid play should continue against the Niners, who are 28th in EPA allowed per dropback and 22nd in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.
Tier 3 – Sprinkle Plays

Lamar Jackson ($6,900 DK / $8,600 FD) didn’t look great last week against the Bears, but it was promising to see him run the ball 9 times. In his first game back from injury, he only had 5 rushing attempts. His salary is unlikely to get cheaper from this point on, so I don’t mind looking his way in tournaments. The Browns aren’t a great matchup by any means, but they are a bit of a pass funnel (2nd in EPA against the run, 14th in EPA allowed per dropback).
Jameis Winston ($4,600 DK / $6,000 FD) is back in our lives! He’s singing in the press conference and expected to be under center for the Giants with Jaxson Dart out. We know he’s an aggressive quarterback who isn’t afraid to take chances down the field. The Giants are 7-point underdogs at home against the Packers, so we should see a pass-heavy game script for Winston. He pairs nicely with Wan’Dale Robinson or Theo Johnson and allows you to spend up at other positions.
