Noto's NFL DFS Key Personnel: Week 6
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming slate.
Week 5 was nothing short of a disaster. The Browns had a big trap waiting for me, and I fell right into it. As promised, I had either Deshaun Watson or Jerome Ford in every lineup that I made last week. Naturally, Watson struggled against one of the league’s worst pass defenses, his wideouts couldn’t catch anything thrown their way, and D’Onta Foreman was randomly back in the mix at running back. I’d love to use expletives, but let’s just say it was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week of DFS. The only positive is that my prop bets continue to be on a hot streak. I’m 23-7 (+14.7 units), and the NFL team is up 39 units on the season if you ever want to join us over at a Scores And Odds. Cheers to a profitable Week 6 of DFS!

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for Week 6
While rain doesn’t impact football games as much as wind or snow, there are 3 games on the Week 5 main slate that we have to keep an eye on. The easiest way to do that is to check the NFL weather report, which is put together by our very own Kevin Roth each week.
I love this slate because there are plenty of options with roster construction and because the pricing on DraftKings and FanDuel leads to liking different plays on each site. This is a slate where I feel better playing multiple lineups than one single lineup, and that’s strictly due to the number of viable plays at each position.

Quarterback
EXPERT PLAY TAGS
Jayden Daniels: $7,300 DK / $8,700 FD
Spencer Rattler: $4,000 DK
Jalen Hurts: $8,300 FD
Jayden Daniels has averaged 60 rushing yards per game and is 1st among all quarterbacks in EPA per play. He has scored at least 20 fantasy points in 4 of his first 5 NFL games and now gets to face the Ravens in a game where they will likely be trailing. Baltimore might be the biggest pass-funnel matchup in the league, as they are 1st in rushing yards allowed and 31st in passing yards allowed this season. This should be an excellent game script for Daniels, he offers a solid rushing floor, and he has 2 obvious stacking candidates in Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz.
I know Spencer Rattler was the 3rd-string quarterback a week ago. I know he didn’t play particularly well in the preseason. I know the Saints are missing key pieces on their offensive line. I know all of these things, yet I’m still planning to be overweight on Rattler at a price of only $4,000 on DraftKings. This is about as good of a spot as you are going to get in your first NFL start — at home against the Buccaneers, who have allowed the 2nd-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Rattler has some rushing upside, and it looks like Taysom Hill could be out again, which would certainly help Rattler’s usage down near the goal line.
On FanDuel, Jalen Hurts feels underpriced at $8,300. The Eagles are coming off a bye and will have their best 2 receivers back in the lineup. While I worry about Cleveland’s ability to provide some push back in this game, Hurts tends to stay involved in the running game even when the Eagles build a big lead. He’s had at least 8 rushing attempts in every game this season, and the tush push is back working in Philadelphia. This matchup doesn’t look great on paper, but the Eagles have the 5th-highest team total on the slate (26 points).
BEST OF THE REST
I’m not planning to spread my ownership out much at quarterback this week. There are always viable options, but there are only a handful on my radar. Lamar Jackson makes the shortlist, as he continues to crush every week. The Ravens are dead last in pass rate above expectation this season (which was not expected in Todd Monken’s second year as offensive coordinator), yet Jackson has still averaged 26.9 fantasy points per game (DK scoring). Having Derrick Henry in the lineup has opened up huge rushing lanes for Jackson this season. He draws an elite matchup at home against the Commanders. The Ravens have the highest team total (29.5 points) on the board in Week 5.
This is a spot where Dak Prescott should dominate. We know the Lions are going to put up points, and their defense has been a pass-funnel matchup this season. They are 9th in EPA against the run and 21st in EPA against the pass while allowing the 6th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Prescott has been excellent at home over the years and has thrown for over 350 passing yards in 2 of the last 3 games. I want to believe in Dak and the Cowboys in this spot, but it never feels good. Who am I kidding? I loaded up on Deshaun Watson and the Browns last week.
I’m sticking with these players at quarterback this week. I thought about Daniel Jones on FanDuel ($6,800), but he’ll be without Malik Nabers against the Bengals.
