NFL Wide Receiver Props & Picks
- Quez Watkins o14.5 receiving yards
- Jauan Jennings u21.5 receiving yards
- Tyler Boyd u3.5 receptions
Quez Watkins o14.5 receiving yards (-106), FanDuel
In the divisional round, Quez Watkins was taken off of the field, with the Eagles making a concerted effort to dominate the ground game against the Giants. This weekend, Watkins will likely see a fair number of snaps against a San Francisco defense that finished the regular season ranked second in the NFL in rush EPA. Watkins had a reception of at least 14 yards in seven of his final 10 regular season contests. This is a boom-or-bust type of play, but there is the potential for Watkins to cash this play on one play if he is able to break free on a deep route. This is a worthwhile risk for bettors.
Jauan Jennings u21.5 receiving yards (-115), DraftKings
Against the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round, Jauan Jennings had five receptions for 41. In a much more difficult matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round, Jennings had only two catches for 26 receiving yards. In the NFC championship game, Jennings is likely to see the vast majority of his snaps lined up across from Avonte Maddox, who finished the regular season ranked 38th out of 120 cornerbacks in coverage grade, per Pro Football Focus. After having only two targets last weekend, it is difficult to envision Jennings playing much of a role in the offense in an even tougher matchup this weekend – take the under.
Tyler Boyd u3.5 receptions (-135), DraftKings
In each of the first two postseason rounds this January, we have cashed a ticket on a Tyler Boyd under prop. Facing talented slot cornerbacks this season, Boyd has been largely unimpressive. In Week 8 against Greg Newsome II, he had only three receptions on five targets for 38 receiving yards. Facing Cameron Sutton in Week 11, Boyd had only two receptions on seven targets for 42 receiving yards. In the wild-card round against Kyle Hamilton, Boyd had only three receptions on three targets for 26 receiving yards. Last Sunday, he struggled against Taron Johnson, collecting only one reception.
In the AFC championship game, he will line up across from L’Jarius Sneed, who finished the regular season ranked 13th out of 120 players at his position in coverage. At this point, the recipe is self-evident – take the under when Boyd has a difficult matchup.
