NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, March 2
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Wyatt Johnston
Joda: Nathan MacKinnon
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – On a smaller slate (5 games tonight) without any really good goalie options, I will likely be going for correlation or leverage when it comes to goalies. I’ll be looking to get a win by stacking a goalie with skaters, or I will be considering trying to get leverage over the field by playing the goalies opposing the Avalanche, Rangers, or Stars in lineups where I don’t have any of their skaters.
Joda: Single-entry GPPs are my preferred format tonight. Dallas is my favorite target given its 2nd-ranked PP% conversion rate against Vancouver’s porous penalty kill. With the injury to Mikko Rantanen, it is easy to bank on production flowing through Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston. The Stars also have some cheap options to help save salary, like Jamie Benn, Mavrik Bourque, and Esa Lindell. If looking for a cheap stack in tournaments, Carolina’s 2nd line has been on fire, and their total cost is under $11,000.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
