NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, March 30
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Nathan MacKinnon
Joda: Nathan MacKinnon
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – One thing that makes this slate different is that 3/5 of the games are at the end of the night at 10:00 p.m. ET. This includes Vegas, a team that typically isn’t great at getting its lines out during the day and has a new coach who probably wants to mix things up. When it comes to one-off players, if it is close, I would lean toward guys from the late games – especially if you are going with Vegas stacks – in order to have maximum maneuverability when it comes to adjusting your lineups late. Also, like most slates this size with only 5 games, I like stacking a goalie with skaters more than normal.
Joda: Large-field GPPs – Ownership will flock to Colorado and Vegas for good reason. Since it seems unlikely that both of them fail, I would look to get exposure to at least one of these teams in all lineups. There are plenty of ways to go with them, whether it’s even-strength lines utilizing savings at the wing with guys like Gabriel Landeskog, Artturi Lehkonen, and Ivan Barbashev or overstacking one of them. Both teams’ second lines have some upside too, and I don’t see much reason to steer away from these teams.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
