What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – I don’t love any of the true spend-up options, and for an 11-game slate, the under-$4,000 options aren’t that great either. I will probably focus more on mid-range, highly correlated stacks than I normally would.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format. Even though there are 11 games, we do not have a clear-cut stack or team to target. There are some high-upside guys at the top, like Nathan MacKinnon and Nikita Kucherov who I want to get exposure to, as the Avalanche and Lightning game could turn into a barnburner. With Chris Kreider out, Alexis Lafreniere will be on the top power-play unit and makes the Rangers’ only good line worth spending up for. Brock Nelson has a nice price tag, which somehow dropped $200 after he scored a goal and 2 assists on Saturday.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
