What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs. There are a lot of solid lines (correlated on the power play and at even strength) that don’t have great matchups that can nonetheless still pop off with relatively little ownership. These can be easily mixed in with higher-owned pieces to create good lineups.

TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. I am going to right back to the Maple Leafs even without Auston Matthews. Toronto has the highest implied team total and are priced quite affordably.

Hunter4ever89: I will be playing both single-entry and multi-entry tournaments today. I find this slate a bit odd with a lot of ways it can go. I will play just about any goalie at the minimum price; it really opens up a lot of salary to do many things with your lineups. However, if Ville Husso becames very popular, I will look to pivot to some other goalies in large-field tournaments. Goalie is a very high-variance position, and there are other cheap options I don’t mind.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
