What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred GPP format. The Blue Jackets are priced aggressively, which I hope will keep their ownership down. The Blue Jackets have been very strong this season, especially on home ice. They are the team that I am going to try and get the most of in my primary single-entry lineup. I don’t remember the last time I saw a defenseman priced this high, but Zach Werenski deserves his $9,600 price tag.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – On this massive 13-game slate, I prefer playing the matchups over the best talent. Fading Nathan MacKinnon, Auston Matthews, and Connor McDavid is always a risky proposition, but I see more upside from targeting teams like Tampa, Columbus, and Winnipeg on tonight’s slate. I also plan to pay up for safety at goalie, as I don’t believe the risk is worth the reward of going cheap at the position.

Joda: Small-field GPPs are my preferred format for tonight. TB1 is a high-upside stack, but they cost an arm and a leg. With 13 games on the slate, building teams around more mid-range stacks seems solid with scoring down this season. For example, NSH1 grades out well in a plus matchup against Chicago and provides almost $3,000 in savings. Another team I am interested in is Dallas. Roope Hintz left last game, and if he does not play, Matt Duchene and Wyatt Johnston could see a boost.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
