NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Thursday, November 5
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
TastefulTides: Kyle Connor
boggslite: Kyle Connor
Joda: Kyle Connor
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: There is no shortage of studs on this big slate, but the first thing that I’m going to do is jam in Connor McDavid. That game should be fast and open. McDavid is already matchup-proof, but this is a smash spot. After that, I’ll need some cheap pieces. The Lightning, Jets, and Stars are teams where I am going to look for value.
boggslite: After a few slates where the big names were on the road in tough matchups, things change drastically tonight as Edmonton, Colorado, Tampa, and Winnipeg draw great home matchups. Fortunately, their prices have dropped a bit, and there is plenty of value to jam the studs in, so taking advantage of that value will be key to unlocking the upside from guys like Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Nikita Kucherov.
Joda: There is no shortage of premium options. Anaheim continues to play wide-open games, so I want exposure to that environment. Tampa Bay gets the reeling Blackhawks with their backup on a back-to-back, while the Jets carry momentum from their historic comeback into the best matchup. A normally popular Colorado team likely gets squeezed. Stars-and-scrubs lineups look optimal given the superstar ceilings and the cheap value available.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
