What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – I like targeting some bad backup goalies tonight. Utah is too cheap to be at home facing a Seattle team that played last night and is unlikely to have Joey Daccord in net. Anton Forsberg is also a poor option, and Columbus has a good matchup at home against him in net for Ottawa.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There’s plenty of elite talent on tonight’s slate, but I prefer some more overlooked names in great matchups. Teams like Pittsburgh, Utah, and the Ottawa/Columbus game are matchups I want to exploit, and they come with cheaper prices, which will allow for more balanced lineup builds.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format for this slate. Pittsburgh stands out in a prime matchup against Chicago. The Penguins’ top 6 controlled play at 5-on-5 when these teams met on Sunday but were silenced by Spencer Knight. Another team I like is Utah, who gets to take on a tired Seattle team that clawed its way to a 2-1 win in Los Angeles last night. The mid-tier pricing on Utah players like Clayton Keller and Dylan Guenther makes for interesting builds.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
