What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – This is a slate that is pretty hard to make good stacks with the stud skaters that cost $8,500 or more. Nikita Kucherov might still be doing his play with the 2nd line, and with the 2nd power-play unit, Auston Matthews and David Pastrnak are classically studs who can go off without much help from teammates, and Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl fit well together, but it’s an away game and against a team that stays out of the penalty box. Lineups with cheaper, well-correlated stacks with Matthews, Kucherov, and Pastrnak one-offs will produce good lineups.

boggslite: Large-field – GPPs This is a tricky slate with a number of teams dealing with some key injuries. I still expect ownership to be somewhat spread out, making a stars-and-scrubs approach to lineup construction ideal. There aren’t many great power-play matchups tonight, so I will likely look for some savings at defense, opting to spend up at forward.

Joda: Large-field tournaments are preferred tonight. With Zach Werenski out, it is difficult to get too excited about any of the expensive defensemen. We have plenty of value in puck-eating blueliners like Ivan Provorov, Chris Tanev, Jake McCabe, and Neal Pionk. Additionally, none of the expensive forwards on the slate are really in a smash spot, so given the size of the slate, I do not think they need to be stacked traditionally with a full line.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
