What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field tournaments – On a large 9-game slate, I don’t think there is as much incentive as in smaller slates to worry about ownership to the same degree. Here I think the top lines for Montreal, Pittsburgh, and Dallas will all be popular, but I will have a lot of them in my lineups anyway as they are good value, and are fully correlated at both even strength and on the power play.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. While Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl stand out as strong cash plays as they typically do, their stack partners make for awkward tournament builds. I prefer looking to teams like the Stars and Rangers for tournaments, as their prices come at a slight discount too. I also think whoever comes out victorious from NYI/PIT could be of fantasy importance. Pittsburgh’s top line is reasonably priced, fully correlated, and can be played with the red-hot Tristan Jarry. Conversely, if the Islanders win, I could see Bo Horvat, Kyle Palmieri, and Noah Dobson as a worthwhile stack with Ilya Sorokin.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
