What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. Utah’s three best players are my preferred path in tournaments against whichever goalie Anaheim trots out on the back-to-back, but the BUF/DET game could become a helter-skelter affair. Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond have been playing well, and only a dialed-in Linus Ullmark prevented Detroit from finding multiple goals last time out. With the lack of true superstars available tonight, I prefer full correlation or even overstacking a team more than usual.
boggslite: Large-field tournament – On a night with very few big names, I’ll be targeting the favorable matchups. Detroit, Calgary, and Utah all draw great matchups at home, with Calgary and Utah playing teams on the tail end of back-to-backs. There is merit to going contrarian on a slate like tonight, but outside of Montreal, I’m not loving the upside from any of the teams not mentioned above.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
