Slate Overview
Happy Sunday Grinders! We have a rare Sunday slate where there is a solid six games to break down. Last night was a pretty crazy slate with some of the big names going completely nuts and some that were complete duds. I’m looking at you Jack Hughes. Steven Stamkos left last night’s game with an injury, so that is a situation to monitor in Discord, as that would take of one of the Lightning’s best offensive players off the board. Also, Josh Morrissey is doubtful for today’s game against the Lightning. That would hurt the Jets quite a bit, especially on the power play in an already tough matchup against the Lightning on the road. Another interesting note is that there are ten of the possible twelve teams playing on the second half of a back to back. There might be fewer than normal mandatory morning skates, so you absolutely must be checking out our NHL Discord Channel for any late breaking news as the games lock.
Unlike last night’s slate, we don’t have a plethora of high end options at the top that we have to make decisions on. None of Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, or Nathan MacKinnon are on the slate. We also don’t have the great matchups for streaming like we did yesterday. The highest team total on the board is the Calgary Flames against the Ottawa Senators currently sitting at 3.72. Not exactly anything to write home about. In terms of ownership, I think it will concentrate on two teams the most and then spread out amongst the rest. The Predators and Wild are both showing up quite a bit in optimals due to their fantastic matchups and affordable price tags. The Wild were able to win their first game without Kirill Kaprizov last night pretty easily against the Sharks and now get another cupcake matchup tonight against the Coyotes. Their prices are very affordable, and I think they will be the chalkiest stacks of the night.
