I love being able to play new sites with new formats and am thrilled that we have a new site breaking into the salary cap space. It is my hope that from this content, we will have a few GPP-winning slips along the way. Thank you for joining me each week on the journey to 1st place!

OwnersBox MLB DFS Format

What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox. This site is very creative for the MLB, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. We are getting incredible flexibility for all positions. It consists of a pitcher spot, 4 infield positions, 4 outfield positions, and a Superflex, which will allow you to play any position including pitching. How many days have you wanted to play 5 first-basemen because of how deep the position is? OwnersBox is here to give you that fix and allow very creative lineup building. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.

Top MLB DFS Picks for April 19th

Freddy Peralta – ($9,400)

I think this is the best spot of the night for pitching. Freddy Peralta has been electric to start the season and is currently sitting at a 39.4% K rate. I don’t expect him to end at this number when the season closes, but I anticipate he will still hover around 30%. The Cardinals are absolutely struggling to begin the season. As a team, they have a 23% K rate to kick off the early part of the season. Freddy is also stretched out pretty well, and as long as he keeps cruising, we should see him in the range of 95-100 pitches. I love him for tournaments and think he’ll be able to have another really good outing in the front half of the season.

Cedric Mullins – ($4,200)

I love attacking both sides of the BAL/KC game for the offenses. Cedric Mullins stands out as a really nice bat. He is showing really nice power versus RHP this season (.364 ISO) and is also getting on base at a nice clip (.433 wOBA). Alec Marsh is leaving a lot to be desired, and while he has shown a bit of a reverse-split personality this season, I think his overall numbers against lefties last season speak for themselves. He is not getting a lot of ground balls and has given up a lot of power to lefties since the start of last season. I love Mullins here on the back half of the Baltimore stack.

Adam Duvall – ($4,300)

I think the Braves have a shot at putting up a monster run total tonight. The problem is there are a lot of expensive pieces. This is where Adam Duvall comes in. The bottom of the Braves order should be fairly affordable, and Duvall will draw a nice lineup spot behind all of their top hitters. He has tons of power against LHP and also has a ton of RBI potential batting behind Austin Riley, Matt Olson, and Marcell Ozuna. I think Duvall is able to put together a really nice performance, and I want to get him in my Braves stacks as often as I can at this price.

This is a really good slate, with a good balance of pitching and offense. I look forward to seeing you at the top of the leaderboards friends!
