Thursday, November 9th
We have a fairly quiet Thursday night in the National Hockey League with just seven games on the schedule. The St. Louis Blues are by far the biggest favorite on the board, and they should be your main focus tonight in all formats. Of the 14 teams in action, two of them (Minnesota Wild and the Tampa Bay Lightning) are playing on consecutive nights.

Jake Allen, St. Louis Blues – We have a few solid options in goal tonight for cash games, with Jake Allen leading the way. Allen is quite pricey, but he is also a virtually lock for the win. The St. Louis Blues are a massive favorite tonight as they host the National Hockey League’s worst overall team, but Allen may not see more than 25 shots, and you are a paying a pretty penny to roster him. In the mid-tier, both Mike Smith and Ryan Miller are worth considering. Neither goalie is likely to see an abundance of shots, but both should come away with the win. We could also ride the hot and inexpensive hand of Charlie Lindgren. The Montreal Canadiens’ goalkeeper is the riskier play of the four, but he is also the least expensive. At the end of the day, I think it is wise to pay up Jake Allen. The Blues’ netminder may not be the highest scoring goalie, but he is the safest option for your cash game lineups.
