Happy New Year NFL fans! This evening, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens will engage in an AFC North battle with both teams still fighting for playoff positioning. Oddsmakers are expecting a tightly-contested affair, pricing the Ravens as 1.5-point home favorites on the spread. In this matchup, the value on the spread and total has been stripped of value ahead of kickoff. Instead of forcing action on the major markets for this game, bettors may find more expected value on player props tonight.

Steelers vs. Ravens Player Props

Diontae Johnson o4.5 receptions (-145)

Diontae Johnson has been a target-monster in recent weeks, with seven targets or more in five consecutive games. In his last 11 games, Johnson has never recorded fewer than four receptions, which automatically makes this a competitive market number for tonight’s contest. In nine of those contests, Johnson has collected at least five receptions. At playable odds, this is a great spot to target the young receiver on the player prop market.

Najee Harris o55.5 rushing yards (-115)

Since returning to the field on November 13, Najee Harris has performed well, with 86 rushing yards or more in 4-of-7 games. This evening, Harris has a difficult matchup against a strong Baltimore run defense, but the potential absence of defensive tackle Calais Campbell could open up unexpected running lanes for the young running back. Bettors should wait until the status of Campbell is confirmed before locking-in action here, but the over should have a good chance to cash in this spot.

Tyler Huntley u171.5 passing yards (-125)

In four games played this season, Tyler Huntley has thrown for more than 138 passing yards only once. Tonight, he has a somewhat difficult matchup against a Pittsburgh defense that ranks 9th in defensive EPA since T.J. Watt returned to the field in Week 10. Huntley’s inability to throw the ball deep down-the-field is likely to make it extremely difficult for him to surpass this number without an abundance of help with yards-after-the-catch from his receivers.
