MLB PrizePicks Predictions Today
James Paxton – Less Than 16.5 Pitching Outs
Paxton has put together back-to-back strong games, but he has been dreadful throughout the season. He projects for 15.51 pitching outs in the RotoGrinders projections, and although the Cincinnati Reds strike out a fair amount, they’re also quite patient and see a lot of pitches. This play has a 66.96% win rate in the MLB PrizePicks tool, which is one of the highest on the slate.
- PrizePicks PLAY: Less Than 16.5 Outs
Corey Seager – More Than 7.5 Fantasy Points
Despite a lefty-lefty matchup, Seager is in a great spot against the reverse splits of Tyler Anderson. Not only does Anderson not strike out many lefties, but he also has given up far more walks and power to that side of the plate. Although Seager was reportedly dealing with an injury and has struggled to start the season, he has looked far more like himself recently. The ability to walk and still score fantasy points via runs gives the edge to this selection over his total bases.
- PrizePicks PLAY: More Than 7.5 FPTS
Shohei Ohtani – More Than 1.5 Total Bases
The Dodgers have one of the highest implied run totals on the board, and Ohtani is in a wonderful spot against Frankie Montas. Montas has only struck out 14.9% of lefties this season, and Ohtani boasts an absolutely absurd .414 ISO against RHP this season. He projects for 2.6 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections, and he is my top pick of any player this evening to send one out of the park.
- PrizePicks PLAY: More Than 1.5 TB
