NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Karl-Anthony Towns More/Less Than 27.5 Points + Rebounds
The T-Wolves lost a slugfest of a game yesterday afternoon, but they’ll be back at it tonight at home against the Blazers. Tonight’s matchup is significantly more favorable for Minnesota, as they’re sizable 14-point favorites over a tanking Portland team.
Despite struggling with his shooting from the field (7-for-18), KAT still finished with a full stat line of 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists in yesterday’s game. Needless to say, the Blazers defense isn’t nearly as stingy as that of the Clippers.
This will already be the fourth meeting of the year between Portland and Minnesota. Towns’ numbers through the first 3 meetings leave plenty to be desired – 19.7 points and 7 rebounds per – but the Wolves won each of those games by double figures. There’s obviously risk of another blowout tonight given the huge spread, but perhaps the Blazers holding the rest advantage here will help them to keep this one more respectable.

Deni Avdija More/Less Than 14.5 Points
It doesn’t seem like the Wizards should be as woeful as they are, but boy, are they woeful. Washington is in the midst of a league-high 14-game losing streak heading into tonight’s clash with the Jazz in Utah. This game only has a 6-point spread, however, as the Jazz haven’t been slowing anybody down on the defensive end of the floor all season long.
The Wizards’ 117.75 implied team total is well north of their season average. One of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal season has been the play of Deni Avdija. Washington has whiffed badly on its fair share of lottery picks in recent years, but Avdija has turned into a solid pro. The 4th-year forward is averaging a career-best in both scoring average (13.6) and 3-point percentage (41.2%).
Avdija still isn’t a primary source of usage on a team that features Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole, but he did quietly average north of 20 real points per game in February. Given the plus matchup against this sieve-like Jazz defense, I like Deni to have a big night in the scoring department once again.

Jalen Williams More/Less Than 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Jalen Williams isn’t a superstar just yet, but his impressive play this season is one of the reasons the Thunder are the league’s brightest up-and-coming team. In fact, they’re already here. OKC’s win over the Suns last night means they’ll enter tonight’s game in LA alone in 1st place in the Western Conference. That’s no small feat for the team with the NBA’s youngest roster on average.
Williams is contributing north of 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game in his second pro campaign. He’s also improved his 3-point stroke considerably. Williams converted about 35% of his looks from beyond the long line as a rookie. This year, he’s up over 44% on over 3 attempts per game. That’s the 7th-best percentage in the league this season.
The Thunder get a favorable draw tonight on the road against a Lakers team playing at a very quick pace these days. OKC could be a bit fatigued on the 2nd half of the back-to-back, but, as mentioned, they’re young enough to tough it out. I expect J-Dub to be up to his usual stat-stuffing ways in this one.
