NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today

Zach Collins More/Less Than 18.5 Points + Rebounds

The Spurs had so much fun hosting the Suns on Saturday that they’ve decided to invite them back for a rematch tonight. Unfortunately for San Antonio, they’ll be without all-everything rookie Victor Wembanyama for this one, which will presumably lead to a spot start for Zach Collins.

Collins isn’t exactly a household name, but he has fared well when given the opportunity to replace Wemby so far this season. With the future Rookie of the Year on the bench, Collins is sporting a healthy 23.3% usage, 19.2 assists, and a 13.5% rebound rate. In 26 games as a starter this season – some of which happened next to Wembanyama – Collins has averaged 14.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in over 28 minutes per.

There’s blowout potential with the shorthanded Spurs on the wrong side of a 13-point spread in this one, but Collins should be active for as long as he’s out there.

Kelly Olynyk More/Less Than 13.5 Points

Not a whole lot has gone right for the Raptors this season. Not only did they blow up most of their nucleus before the trade deadline, but they’ve been ravaged by a rash of injuries and personal matters of late. Tonight, Toronto will again be without all of Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, Scottie Barnes, Chris Boucher, and Jontay Porter when they play host to the Nets.

The absences of Poeltl and Porter will open up plenty of playing time for Kelly Olynyk. The veteran big man logged 32 minutes in Toronto’s last game with both other centers sidelined, and we have him at 32 again tonight in projections as of this writing.

Since joining the Raps, Olynyk is sporting a middling 19.5% usage rate in the 99 minutes he’s played without any of Barnes, Barrett, Quickley, or Poeltl on the floor. That’s a small sample, and I’d expect him to be one of the team’s primary sources of offense with so many other regulars out of the lineup tonight. There’s reason to believe Kelly O can enjoy a productive offensive outing against a mediocre Brooklyn frontcourt tonight.

Caris LeVert More/Less Than 11.5 Rebounds + Assists

The Cavs had a rough one on Sunday night as they got their doors blown off by the Heat in Miami. They’ll have a quick turnaround tonight, however, as they’ll return home to host a much less imposing Charlotte Hornets outfit. The Cavs are 11.5-point favorites in this one as they continue to play without the injured Donovan Mitchell.

Since Mitchell went down, Caris LeVert has started and played a substantial role. In just 7 games as a starter all year, LeVert is averaging 15.9 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. He struggled mightily in last night’s game, but this is a terrific bounce-back spot against a very underwhelming Hornets team.
