NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Desmond Bane More Than 38.5 Fantasy Points
The Grizzlies’ playoff chances may already be on life support, and it’s only December 1st. However, you can’t blame Desmond Bane for the team’s shortcomings. Bane has been an offensive catalyst for this team with Ja Morant suspended, and he’s averaging a career-best 23.2 points per game while leading Memphis in usage.
Tonight, the Grizz will head to Dallas for a date with a Mavs team missing Luka Doncic. That certainly helps the Grizzlies’ chances of keeping the game close, as they were 10-point underdogs before the Luka news broke. The line has since slid to Dallas -6.5, which certainly helps Bane’s chances of logging a full complement of minutes in this one.
Bane’s averaging north of 34 minutes per night while contributing a stellar 1.2 FanDuel FP/min. The Mavs’ defense has also been downright porous this season. Dallas is just 23rd in the league in defensive efficiency, yielding 115 points per 100 possessions.
- Play: Bane – More Than 38.5 Fantasy Points
Tyus Jones Less Than 23.5 Fantasy Points
Tyus Jones was a nice pickup for the Wizards over the summer, though this team is a legitimate tire fire overall. Morant’s old backup is playing a full-time starting role for the first time, and he’s still averaging a steady 0.88 FP/min for his new team.
The Wiz find themselves in one of the worst matchups on the slate tonight, however. Orlando is one of the most improved teams in basketball this season, particularly on defense. The Magic’s D-rating of 105.2 is the second-best mark in the Association, trailing only Minnesota. Jones is a decent all-around performer, but he isn’t a major source of usage for Washington.
Jones’ minutes aren’t the most secure for a starting point guard, either. He’s playing just 26.8 minutes per game, and there’s a good chance the Wizards will get blown out again tonight, as they did in this exact same spot on Wednesday. Jones was held to just 21 minutes in that one as the Wizards fell by 19 points.
- Play: Jones – Less Than 23.5 Fantasy Points
Jalen Suggs More Than 28 Fantasy Points
On the other side of that same game, we have the Magic in one of the best possible matchups. The Wizards are third in pace and just 29th in defensive efficiency this season. Against that atrocious Washington defense just two days ago, Orlando put a whopping 139 points on the board. They have a 124.25 total in the rematch.
Jalen Suggs has a more solidified role as the Magic continue to play without Markelle Fultz. He’s up to 0.95 FP/min on the year with Fultz and Wendell Carter off the floor, thanks in no small part to his defensive prowess. PrizePicks’ scoring awards 3 points per block/steal, and Suggs is averaging 2.5 stocks per game on the year.
Suggs put 34 fantasy points on the board at the Wizards’ expense on Wednesday.
- Play: Suggs – More Than 28 Fantasy Points
