NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today

Killian Hayes Less Than 10.5 Points

This isn’t the first appearance for Hayes in this article this season, and it may not be the last either. The Pistons enter Friday’s clash with the Magic in Orlando riding an incredible 18-game losing streak, and there’s really no end in sight. After a brief stint coming off the bench, Monty Williams recently put Hayes back into the starting unit.

Hayes was the No. 7 overall pick back in 2020, so I suppose you can forgive the Pistons for continuing to give him opportunities. Unfortunately, it just isn’t working out. The fourth-year guard is averaging just 9.7 points per game on 42% shooting from the floor and 32% shooting from 3-point range. He hasn’t shown any discernible improvement over his first 3+ NBA seasons, though his current middling shooting percentages are actually the best of his career.

Even in a starting role, Hayes has a fairly short leash. He’s cracked 30 minutes in a game just once since November 10th, and tonight’s matchup against a Magic team ranked 4th in defensive efficiency is a tough one. Something tells me Hayes won’t be putting on a huge scoring display tonight.

Draymond Green More Than 6.5 Rebounds

Green has been in-and-out of the Warriors lineup all season long thanks to a combination of injuries and a suspension. He’s no longer playing massive minutes at this more advanced stage of his career, but he is still a vital part of what Golden State does at both ends of the floor.

Green has topped 30 minutes in 3 of the last 4 games, however, and we’ve seen him improve his output on the boards. He has pulled in at least 6 rebounds in 3 of the last 4 games, and he’s totaled at least 9 caroms in back-to-back outings.

Tonight’s matchup against the Thunder in Oklahoma City isn’t an easy one, but this game does have a decently high total (236.5) and a tight spread (OKC -3). The Thunder are also just 29th in the league in rebound rate, so I like Green’s chances of having success on the glass here.

James Harden More Than 7.5 Assists

We were on Harden to top 6.5 assists on Wednesday night, so why not go right back to the well? The Beard accounted for 11 dimes in that one in the Clippers’ win over the Nuggets, and tonight they’re in a better on-paper spot against a struggling Jazz defense in Salt Lake City.

Harden has consistently ranked among the league leaders in assists for several seasons, and part of the reason the Clips brought him in was for his playmaking. Those 11 assists the other night were a season high, though he’s picked up at least 7 dimes in each of the last 3 games.

Utah has been among the worst defensive teams in the sport this season, and the recent return of Walker Kessler hasn’t helped as much as I thought it would. This team just lost by 50 points the other night, you know. Harden should breeze past 7.5 assists in this one.
