Best PrizePicks NBA Player Picks Today: Value on Jokic, Kispert, and Holmgren

We’ve got a full slate of NBA action on tap for Wednesday, so it should be a fun one. As usual, we’ve got no shortage of injury news to monitor. Dejounte Murray, Rudy Gobert, Zion Williamson, and seemingly every Celtic is questionable as of this writing. Cade Cunningham and Tyrese Haliburton have already been ruled out.

NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Nikola Jokic More Than 33.5 Points + Assists
Nikola Jokic may be behind a few other players in this year’s MVP race, but the reigning Finals MVP is still putting up gaudy numbers on a nightly basis. Jokic is contributing 25.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game. These are ridiculous stats for anybody, let alone a center.
Tonight, Jokic and his Nuggets will head to Salt Lake City for a date with the Jazz. Utah has played better basketball of late, but this is still a very underwhelming frontcourt. This is subject to change given how fickle Will Hardy has been with his lineups this season, but John Collins has been starting at center. Something tells me John Collins isn’t big enough to give Jokic much of a sweat in this one.
Jokic’s scoring numbers have admittedly dipped since Jamal Murray returned to the lineup, but he’s still put up 29 and 34 points in a couple of appearances since the calendar flipped to January. I’d expect another big outing from him tonight.
- Play: Jokic – More Than 33.5 Points + Assists
Corey Kispert Less Than 13.5 Points + Assists
The Pistons have attracted a lot of attention for their losing ways, but we shouldn’t overlook just how dreadful the Wizards have been, either. Washington is just 6-30 heading into tonight’s clash against the Pacers, in which they’re listed as 8-point underdogs.
The Wizards’ roster is a ragtag bunch littered with former lottery picks that haven’t quite panned out. Corey Kispert was taken one pick after the lottery back in 2021. The Gonzaga product has predictably become a useful sharpshooter from 3-point range, but that’s just about all he does while he’s out there. Kispert is averaging about 11 points per game in a career-low 22 minutes per night. Through 4 games in January, he’s playing only 18 minutes per game. His current average of 1.5 assists per game is actually the highest of his 3-year NBA tenure.
Washington does have a high 122.5 implied team total in this one despite their status as underdogs, but taking Kispert to total less than 13.5 points + assists is a viable route given his lack of playing time off the bench of late.
- Play: Kispert – Less Than 13.5 Points + Assists
Chet Holmgren Less Than 7.5 Rebounds
Chet Holmgren has been a revelation this season for the Thunder, and the rookie big man is one of the main reasons OKC looks primed to contend for a championship right away. He’s averaging 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for the upstart Thunder, and his 2.6 blocks per game are tied for third in the league.
Still, 7.3 rebounds isn’t exactly great output from a 7’1” center. Holmgren admittedly spends plenty of his time on the offensive side of the floor closer to the perimeter, and he’s also listed at south of 200 pounds. He’ll likely fill out and add some muscle in the coming years, but for now, he’s not exactly a bruiser around the rim.
OKC’s matchup tonight against the Heat is a tough one. Chet will occasionally spike a big game on the boards, but he’s averaging a paltry 4 rebounds per game so far this month. To me, 7.5 looks like a big expectation for a guy who isn’t even averaging that many caroms on the year.
- Play: Holmgren – Less Than 7.5 Rebounds
