NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander More/Less Than 32.5 Points
SGA is good at basketball. How’s that for a Friday hot take? The Thunder have quickly blossomed into one of the NBA’s best teams since SGA came aboard a few years ago, and he’s currently in the midst of the finest season of his young career. SGA is averaging north of 31 points per game for the 2nd season in a row on blistering 54% shooting from the field. We don’t often see that kind of shooting efficiency from a guard, but defenders simply can’t keep him from getting to wherever he wants to on the floor.
Tonight, the Thunder get a dream matchup at home against the lowly Hornets. This game features a sizable 15.5-point spread with OKC as the predictable favorites. Charlotte enters play dead last in defensive efficiency, and they’ll presumably struggle to put points on the board with LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward still missing from the lineup.
SGA should feast in this spot offensively. Even if he doesn’t see a full complement of minutes because of a blowout, he still has a path to putting up big numbers with Oklahoma City likely to be on the winning side of any lopsided score.

Devin Booker More/Less Than 33.5 Points + Rebounds
Booker is also good at basketball. Imagine that! The Suns have been surprisingly inconsistent so far this season despite their impressive roster, yet Booker has been a consistent source of production. He’s contributing north of 28 points, 7 assists, and nearly 5 rebounds per game while ranking in the top 10 in the league in minutes per game.
Phoenix is another team in a favorable matchup tonight, as they’ll visit the struggling Hawks in Atlanta. The Hawks are all the way down to just 28th in the league in defensive rating, while they’re 4th in pace. In related news, this game has the highest total on the slate (248.5), while Phoenix’s 126 team total also tops the board.
Frankly, Booker should do whatever he wants here against a team that hasn’t stopped anybody all season. Booker also comes into the game in terrific form, with 3 games of at least 44 real-life points in his last 5 outings. He’s fully capable of breezing past 33.5 combined points and rebounds with scoring alone.

Jaren Jackson More/Less Than 1.5 Made 3-Pointers
The 2023-24 campaign has been an injury-riddled nightmare for the Grizzlies, yet Taylor Jenkins still manages to keep this ragtag bunch competitive on a nightly basis. Tonight, the Grizz are listed as 8-point home underdogs to the visiting Warriors.
The Dubs are playing near full strength these days, yet they still aren’t the defensive juggernaut they were during their dynastic heyday a few years back. They’re just 22nd in defensive rating this season, in fact, and JJJ will have to play a significant offensive role by default. On the season, with all of Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, Desmond Bane, Derrick Rose, and Luke Kennard off the floor, JJJ leads the Grizzlies with a robust 37.3% usage rate over the course of a significant 292-minute sample.
So, JJJ will have a lot on his plate here on the second night of the back-to-back. His shooting has been downright erratic over the past few games, but the volume is appealing. He’s made only 7 of his last 37 3-point attempts (19%!), but he won’t be afraid to let ‘em fly again tonight. I’m optimistic that JJJ will bounce back and knock down at least a pair of triples tonight.
