Christmas night brings a marquee matchup between the Ravens and the 49ers. For this holiday matchup, we can build a same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Merry Christmas, everyone. The NFL filled our stockings with games on Thursday and Saturday nights. Then, we were able to dig into some of the presents on our list with a Sunday slate filled with NFL betting options. When you thought the pile of gifts was exhausted, like the father on A Christmas Story reaching behind a desk, the NFL pulls out an absolute spectacle for Monday night. The Baltimore Ravens travel to San Francisco to meet the 49ers in what could end up being a preview of this year’s Super Bowl.

Ravens vs. 49ers Same Game Parlay Preview

Glancing at ScoresAndOdds, we see that FanDuel Sportsbook offers the 49ers as six-point home-favorites against the visiting Ravens. The line speaks volumes about the sentiment regarding the 49ers. San Francisco is built to win the Super Bowl this year with a complete balance between strong defense and an explosive offense. The offense features too many weapons to handle and will give a stout Ravens’ defense fits on Monday night.

While sports betting sites hold the 49ers in such high esteem, bettors seem to favor the Ravens’ side of the spread tonight. 64% of betting tickets sit with the Ravens while an an even larger portion of the betting money thinks Baltimore is going to cover the spread tonight (86%). The Ravens are exceptional. This seems pretty rational given the talent Baltimore brings on both sides of the ball.

The implied game total is 46.5 and both tickets and money agree again. The majority of action lies on the over. Sports bettors, casual and sharp, expect plenty of fireworks to close out Christmas. With the quality of the weapons on both sides of the football, it’s easy to find touchdowns.

For the Ravens, Keaton Mitchell suffered a season-ending torn ACL during Week 15’s matchup. As a response, the Ravens signed Melvin Gordon from the practice squad to back up Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. Ronnie Stanley was able to practice after suffering a concussion but remains questionable for Monday night. Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham returned to practice and seemed good to go for the big matchup.

The 49ers will be without Elijah Mitchell and Jajuan Jennings. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle will continue to be like Whack-a-Mole for the Ravens’ defense. The 49ers scored 38.3 points per game over the last three weeks and continue to rest in the top five of the NFL in scoring offense.

The Ravens are no strangers to scoring points — sitting in fifth in the NFL in scoring offense. Baltimore is the top rushing offense in the NFL concerning yards per attempt and third in yards per pass attempt. The 49ers will also have their hands full with Lamar Jackson who remains the most challenging offensive player to defend in the NFL.

While this is true, Brock Purdy is the odds-on favorite to win the NFL MVP this season. The last few weeks would need to go pretty badly for Purdy to not complete his ascent from Mr. Irrelevant to one of the more prestigious awards in the sport.

This game doesn’t need any extra spice to make it watchable. That said, a little extra spice won’t hurt. Let’s build a same-game parlay ticket to sweat along with what should be a great game.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Ravens at 49ers

Lamar Jackson Over 55.5 Rushing Yards

A big-time game requires big-time players. Lamar Jackson is the key player on the Ravens’ offense. While the 49ers’ defense remains one of the best units in the league, Lamar Jackson will find ways to put the Niners in the spin cycle.

I think the 49ers will win this game and likely cover the spread. With that in mind, I think the Ravens will be less committed to a run-heavy approach and will spread the 49ers’ defense out with multiple receivers. Lamar does not need a big window to get chunk yardage. Further, the Ravens will still script RPO plays and QB keeper players to get their best weapon out in space.

Christian McCaffrey Over 30.5 Receiving Yards

A big-time game requires big-time players. The Ravens are an elite defense that prohibits receptions to running backs.

Not all running backs are Christian McCaffrey. I think the premier offensive weapon in the NFL will need to be involved in the run-and-pass game to keep Brock Purdy upright and keep the Ravens on their toes. Despite all of the weapons at Purdy’s disposal, McCaffrey still sees 4-5 targets per game on average. Those targets are not deep down the field and are typically converted for gains.

McCaffrey will need to shine at home, tonight. This will be a statement game for the 49ers.

Deebo Samuel Under 12.5 Rushing Yards

Finally, we discuss the scariest leg of this parlay. The Deebo Samuel rushing under prop. A prop bet that hits more often than not is still frightening when you consider having to watch Deebo Samuel touch the ball on a jet.

Samuel has the type of speed that turns a loss into a touchdown from anywhere on the field. That said, with Christian McCaffrey present in San Francisco, Deebo has returned to his wide receiver role. Samuel has excelled this season and continues to make plays down the field for Brock Purdy and company.

We can survive a jet sweet for a one-yard touchdown. We are merely sweating a big play.
