Primetime Parlay: Ravens vs. Saints Same Game Parlay Picks

Ravens vs Saints Same Game Parlay

ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool utilizes thousands of simulations of RotoGrinders’ NFL Statistical projections to construct profitable same game parlays across sports betting sites. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sportsbooks to pick the most profitable combination of outcomes for primetime NFL matchups. Today, we build a Monday Night Football same-game parlay for the Ravens vs Saints.

The Baltimore Ravens travel to Bourbon Street for a Monday Night Football matchup with the New Orleans Saints. While not the most exciting matchup on paper, the game is extremely meaningful for both sides. The beleaguered Ravens need to hold serve after the Bengals trounced the Panthers on Sunday while the Saints can jump into a three-way tie for the NFC South lead with a win. With that comes the intrigue of building a betting ticket for the game. Let’s preview the game and work on a parlay ticket to sweat on Monday night.

Same Game Parlay for Ravens vs. Saints

FanDuel Sportsbook pegs the Ravens as very short 1.5-point favorites at the time of this writing. The spread opened at 3.5 points but has dropped as more information about the Ravens’ health has trickled in over the course of the week. Bettors placed 54% of the betting handle on the Saints number while 64% of the tickets were printed for the Baltimore side.

As for the total, sitting at 46.5 on FanDuel, mostly all of the money and tickets were placed on the under. Bettors and prognosticators alike think points will be at a premium on Monday night.

The injury report is a bit cluttered for this contest. What we know for sure is that Mark Ingram, Michael Thomas (out for the season), and Marshon Lattimore will not play on Monday night. In the absence of Lattimore, the Saints continue to play man defense and have been beaten twice by big-time receivers in Ja’Marr Chase and DeAndre Hopkins. Adam Trautman and Jarvis Landry are questionable. Either of these receiving options would be very helpful to an offense in need of some complementary help for Alvin Kamara.

For the Ravens, Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman are out. For Andrews, Isaiah Likely will fill in and should see an expanded role. Gus Edwards is doubtful for the Ravens after losing J.K. Dobbins on IR. Demarcus Robinson is questionable. The Ravens could really use Robinson as they will otherwise roll with Devin Duvernay as their top option.

With all of the injury news, the under being hammered over the course of the week makes plenty of sense. Now that the injury report is relatively solidified, the under makes even more sense.

Same Game Parlay Picks – Ravens & Saints Props

New Orleans Saints Moneyline

With all of the injuries on the Ravens’ side of the ball, I agree with the betting money and struggle to understand why the Saints are underdogs at home. While the Saints’ offense lacks punch, the Baltimore defense is not the stalwart defense of old. Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and whatever company they bring should be able to do enough to get the job done.

Moreover, the Saints’ issues on defense will be mitigated by the fact that the Ravens lack any big-time threats outside. Isaiah Likely will probably see plenty of volume but getting the ball outside of the numbers will be very tough. Instead, the Saints’ defense might dare Lamar Jackson to beat them with his arm and stuff the run game.

I like getting the positive juice on the ML bet to open up our Parlay. ParlayIQ agrees and features 54% of simulations where the Saints win this contest.

Lamar Jackson Over 58.5 Rushing Yards

If the Saints are going to play plenty of man defense, Lamar Jackson is going to need to beat them with his legs with defensive backs turned around. With the paltry amount of options on the offensive side of the ball, Lamar might need to put the cape on tonight.

The Ravens go as Lamar goes. The Saints will be able to match up with the Ravens’ receivers enough that Lamar is not going to be able to stand in the pocket and pick the defense apart. Instead, we will likely be looking at many broken plays or even designed runs for Lamar to keep the defense honest.

We get the EV boost of taking an over on an opposing player prop when we like a team’s moneyline. ParlayIQ shows 78% of the 4,885 simulations where Lamar goes over this prop.

Alvin Kamara Over 38.5 Receiving Yards

Speaking of props that ParlayIQ loves, Alvin Kamara exceeds 38.5 receiving yards in 70% of simulations fueled by RotoGrinders NFL Stat Projections.

Kamara is coming off his biggest game of the season where he caught 9 Andy Dalton passes for 96 yards and scored three touchdowns. Kamara has been a steady receiving option for the veteran quarterback — seeing 9 or more targets in each of his last three contests. The Ravens have allowed 50 catches to opposing running backs — sixth most in the NFL.

With the simulations on our side so far, we are on pace for possibly the biggest discrepancy we have seen between the simulated parlay price and what FanDuel is going to offer.

Isaiah Likely Over 40.5 Receiving Yards

Where else will the football go? Isaiah Likely broke out in a big way when Mark Andrews left during the first quarter of the Ravens’ win over the Buccaneers. He converted 7 targets for 6 catches and 77 yards with a touchdown.

We don’t need quite that much but I can see Likely having a big game. Without any outside threats, Lamar Jackson is going to look for his athletic rookie tight end. We project likely for nearly 7 targets and about 50 receiving yards.

Our parlay has a nice balance and because we are taking the over on two Ravens’ props, we should see a big negative correlation bump on FanDuel.
