Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we sort through yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.

In Case You Missed It

King of BostonDraftKings is proud to announce the King of Boston (KoB) qualifier series. Over the next two weeks, 12 qualifiers will be ran awarding KoB tickets. The winner of each KoB qualifier will receive a 3-night VIP trip to Boston. The trip will include a chance to meet the founders of DraftKings, enjoy a Red Sox game in a luxury suite, and chance to sweat the $150K final event at Jerry Remy’s sports bar. Qualifiers start tonight with a $27 GPP tonight. More details are in this forum thread.

4 Years a Slave – Speaking of Boston, how about them Patriots? Rumors are circulating that the Patriots and NFL management are working on a solution to the Deflategate penalties. The Patriots also re-signed LB Brandon Spikes who acrimoniously parted with the team last offseason. After signing with the Bills, Spikes tweeted 4 years a slave in reference to his time in New England. My guess is Spikes is going to be busy over the next few weeks unblocking Pats fans from Twitter. While the Deflategate and Spikes news is interesting, by far the biggest Patriots news was Tom Brady being spotted playing golf with Michael Jordan. This got me thinking, how does Tom Brady cheat at golf? Obviously, you can’t let the air out of a golf ball. What does he do instead? Take illegal drops, maybe take a gimme on 11 foot putts? What say you guys? Comment below with how you think Brady cheats in golf. It’s pretty much a given that he does, right?

DraftKings NASCAR – Have you glanced at the DraftKings scoring for NASCAR yet? Many posters in the initial NASCAR thread were not happy with the scoring system created by DK. As DFS players we learn to adapt. You have to play the game they give you not the game you wish they gave you. With that being said, greenflag took a crack at handicapping laps lead and fastest laps. Give it a read as you begin to formulate your NASCAR strategy.

GPP Roundup – First off, congratulations to louiescards on taking down the King of The Hill (KOTH) H2H for a nice little $10K payday. LC will look to keep his momentum going tonight in another $10K H2H against last night’s qualifier “dandydon”, or as you may know him on FanDuel “lovesbases.” It should be an interesting sweat again tonight. In other GPP news, beepimajeep took down the DraftKings FWBC qualifier for the third day in a row. He now holds four tickets to the $4M final (the max this year is five). For the rest of last night’s links, check out the Monday Tournament Links forum thread.

MLB Recap – Speaking of winning, you know who didn’t win last night? Your starting pitcher. Well, maybe they did if you went with Cole Hamels in Coors Field. But If you were like the rest of us with Kluber, Sale, Harvey, or Lackey, you didn’t get the bonus. You know what else you probably didn’t get? A home run, or “dong” as they are known here. In the late slate, there were only three dongs hit. They were hit by Aramis Ramirez, Carlos Gomez, and J.T. Realmuto.

On The Menu

NBA/NHL Tonight – Round one of the Western Conference Finals begins tonight as the Warriors host the Rockets. If you want to get in some NBA DFS, you need to play a two-game slate split between today and tomorrow. If two-game NBA slates aren’t your thing, the NHL playoffs are still going on, and you can play a two-game split slate there as well. The big money to be made is on MLB though, so let’s focus our attention there.

MLB GPPs – With 15 games on the schedule, every MLB team will be in action tonight. This super-sized slate offers some exciting GPP action. If live finals are your thing, FanDuel is running a Playboy qualifier for only $5, while DraftKings is running a KoB qualifier for $27. In GPPs that pay actual cash, DraftKings has a $300K Slugfest and FanDuel is running a $175K Slam among other GPPs.

MLB Content – With so many games on the schedule, you are going to need help breaking them down. As always Notorious will have a detailed breakdown of every game in the MLB Grind Down. Throughout the day we will also have Pitcher and Hitter Breakdowns, the Six-Pack, GPP Plays, Expert Picks, and so much more. Once you take in all of that content, come back at 3:30 ET for three hours of live advice on GrindersLive. BritDevine and stevietpfl will start things off, followed by CrazyGabey and Pepsi7 at 4:30 and then Dean78904 and Al_Smizzle at 5:30.

Bottom Line – Yesterday I posted some multi-entry numbers from the DraftKings Perfect Game. The data was a bit inconclusive, as some players who multi-enter saw a massive profit while other saw a massive loss. Anyways, I didn’t bring up my own article for a shameless plug, there is a point here. Tomorrow, DraftKings is running a $300K Swing For The Fences. First place will receive $100K and it is only $3 to enter. Best of all, the contest is capped at 200 entries per user. If you have ever wanted a somewhat level playing to test out multi-entry, this is the event for you. Bankroll will not be an issue as no one can play more than $600 total. If you don’t want to pay the full $3 per ticket, DraftKings has a massive qualifier tonight for $0.25. Go round up your loose change, run a couple trains, and win some tickets for tomorrow. The Swing For The Fences is basically a Millionaire Makers scaled down one-tenth. Give it a shot.
