Primetime Parlay: Giants vs. Seahawks Same Game Parlay Picks
Last year, ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool helped us create a variety of fun same-game parlay tickets throughout the NFL season. Through simulations, the tool examines the potential value various betting lines offer on sports betting sites. Along with the simulations, we will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a same-game parlay for the Seattle Seahawks at New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
After hosting Taylor Swift on Sunday Night Football, MetLife Stadium will convert to blue for the Giants home game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seattle offense has been humming thanks to the ex-New York quarterback Geno Smith and a few dynamic weapons. The Giants have limped out of the gate with very high expectations heading into the year. Daniel Jones will need to put together another stellar performance to keep pace with the Seahawks. Let’s look at betting odds and statistics before building a same-game parlay ticket on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Seahawks vs. Giants Same Game Parlay
At the time of this writing, the Giants are 1.5-point underdogs at home against the Seahawks. The line shifted a bit this week with some interesting betting patterns. SAO reports that 63% of tickets were placed on Seattle while 54% of the handle sides with New York. The Giants have not impressed this season, but Seattle is traveling across the country to play in New York.
The implied game total is quite robust at 47.5 points — up 2.5 points since opening. The money poured in on the over this week, with 76% of the handle believing we will see plenty of points in this game. Both defenses are in the bottom third of the league in opposing yards per play — allowing 5.6 yards per play this season. Neither team can get to the quarterback, with both defenses ranking in the bottom four in sack percentage.
The Giants left tackle, Andrew Thomas is out while Saquon Barkley is a game-time decision. Barkley is very doubtful but did practice on Saturday. The Seahawks have two questionable tight ends with both Noah Fant and Will Dissly requiring a check-back before kickoff. DK Metcalf didn’t practice on Thursday but claims his status for the game is in no jeopardy.
While the Seahawks have struggled on defense, the same cannot be said about the offense. Seattle is 4th in scoring — averaging 7.1 yards per pass attempt. Geno Smith continues to impress in the second phase of his career — making great decision after great decision for the Seattle faithful.
The Giants… not so much. Big Blue is 31st in scoring and 30th in yards per play on offense — barely ahead of their building-mates. The Giants offense could get a shot of life this week, though, playing against a much weaker defense than two of their previous games. With their best weapon on ice, though, the Giants receiving corps will need to start making plays.
This game feels like it is going to be pretty offensive. Let’s see what ParlayIQ thinks.
Same Game Parlay Picks for MNF
- Jones Over 35.5 Rushing Yards
- Waller Over 49.5 Receiving Yards
- Lockett Over 52.5 Receiving Yards
Daniel Jones Over 35.5 Rushing Yards
Here we go. The Giants finally draw a defensive matchup we can get excited about. The Seahawks have not pressured the quarterback and have given up plenty to opposing offenses this season.
Jones is always a threat to get loose and make secondaries pay. The dual-threat nature of his game should give the Seahawks fits all night, even if the Giants don’t have any high-end playmakers on the outside. Jones could exceed this rushing prop without any big plays. ParlayIQ has Jones going over this number in over 82% of the simulations of this game.
Whether you are building an SGP or just looking for a prop to bet, start your night with this rushing prop.
Darren Waller Over 49.5 Receiving Yards
The Giants don’t have any alphas on the outside, but Darren Waller should finally have the opportunity to show Giants’ fans why his signing was so important. Waller continues to dominate targets for the Giants in brutal defensive matchups. Waller should find plenty of room to scamper around the defensive secondary this evening.
The Seahawks allow 5.6 yards per play and do not pressure the quarterback. I don’t know that the Giants will waste too much time with the ground game this evening when big plays can be had. Opposing passers have looked excellent against the Seahawks. For the Giants to land this crucial win, Jones will need to have a big game through the air. Waller could see double-digit targets in this one.
Tyler Lockett Over 52.5 Receiving Yards
Finally, we shouldn’t forget that the Giants continue to give up yardage and big plays. The Seahawks offense has been one of the more efficient offenses in the league. While Pete Carroll wants to run the football early and often, Geno Smith continues to carve up defenses.
Tyler Lockett has not received an enormous volume of targets to start the season. The emphasis on running the football and the addition of key pieces have maybe kept Lockett’s volume down some to start the season. That said, if one or both tight ends are lost for the game against a defense that can’t stop anyone, Lockett could see an uptick in opportunities tonight. ParlayIQ agrees and likes this prop to close out our three-pack.
