On Saturday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens will meet at M&T Bank Stadium for a Week 18 AFC North showdown. Entering play, Mason Rudolph and the Steelers desperately need a victory to give themselves the best chance of securing a playoff spot by the end of the weekend. The Ravens have already secured the 1-seed in the AFC, leaving them with nothing to play for other than pride in this contest. Lamar Jackson, Zay Flowers, Kyle Hamilton, Malik Harrison, Marlon Humphrey, and Kevin Zeitler are all unlikely to play for Baltimore.

Ahead of kickoff, the Steelers are favored by 3 points on the spread. The over/under is set at 34.5 points.

Steelers vs. Ravens NFL Player Props for Saturday, January 6th

Mason Rudolph UNDER 18.5 Completions (-113), FanDuel

Mason Rudolph has posted 290 passing yards and 274 passing yards respectively in his last two games, but he is likely to have a difficult time coming anywhere near those numbers on Saturday. Using historical weather data, our RotoGrinders WeatherEdge tool indicates that nearly all passing statistics suffer significantly in comparable situations.

Rudolph completed 17 passes against the Bengals and 18 passes against the Seahawks and now has to deal with extremely inclement weather in the season finale. Even with Baltimore resting multiple members of their secondary unit, this is likely to be too tall of a number for Rudolph in this spot.

Najee Harris OVER 15.5 Rush Attempts (-130), FanDuel

In two games with Mason Rudolph under center, the Steelers have been unapologetic about their desire to run the football. In Week 16 against the Bengals, the Steelers ran the ball 30 times compared to 27 pass attempts. In Week 17, Pittsburgh ran the ball 46 times compared to 24 pass attempts. Najee Harris has received 19 carries and 27 carries in those two games respectively and should be fed plenty once again in Week 18 against a shorthanded Baltimore defense on the road in weather conditions that are far more suitable to the ground game than the aerial attack.

Diontae Johnson UNDER 40.5 Receiving Yards (-113), FanDuel

Diontae Johnson has quickly become part of a crowded receiving corps in Pittsburgh since Mason Rudolph took over the reins in Week 16. Two weeks ago, Johnson had only 15 receiving yards and was 3rd on the team in targets against the Bengals. Last week, Johnson managed 76 receiving yards, but he once again failed to stand out from the pack, being one of four players to receive at least 4 targets. In cold, wet, windy conditions on Saturday, Johnson is likely to have a difficult time putting up gaudy statistical numbers. The under is a worthwhile risk in this spot.
