65% of bets on Minnesota, per VegasInsider.com.

The Washington Redskins lone win came against the Miami Dolphins, and even then, they nearly fell short, cementing themselves as one of the three worst teams in the NFL. A week after beating the Dolphins 17-16, Washington was back to their losing ways. Forced to overcome rain, mud, and one of the best defenses in the league, the Redskins offense failed to score a point against the San Francisco 49ers. On Thursday night, mud won’t stand in their way but a loud crowd inside Minnesota’s U.S. Bank Stadium will.

Since opening in 2016, the Vikings are 19-8-1 against the spread at U.S. Bank Stadium. This season, they’re 3-0 and have covered the spread by over 10 points in each win.

After starting the season 2-2, with losses coming on behalf of underachieving quarterback play, Kirk Cousins and his receivers have finally gotten on the same page and Minnesota’s offense is gaining yards on the ground and through the air. Cousins is on a streak of three games with 300+ yards. During that same span, Cousins has thrown 10 touchdowns with just one interception.

Unfortunately, Cousins will be without one of his favorite targets Thursday night. Wide receiver Adam Thielen will sit out with a hamstring injury. As RotoGrinders’ DFS analyst Notorious points out in the NFL Grind Down, Olabisi Johnson and Laquon Treadwell will step up to replace him. Mainly, I’m expecting the Vikings to lean heavily on Dalvin Cook and the running game again.

Similarly, since replacing the Jay Gruden, interim head coach Bill Callahan has opted for heavy run approach with Adrian Peterson. Though weather was at play, the Redskins ran the ball 26 of their 41 plays in Week 7.

Pace of play will be slow and the Redskins will likely continue to have trouble scoring. While both teams look to establish the run, I’m taking Under 42.

My NFL Betting Pick: Under 42

Thursday Football Betting Pick — Player Props

Dalvin Cook Over 18.5 Rush Attempts; Over 90.5 Rushing YardsDalvin Cook has rushed the ball 21 times or more in two of the Vikings’ last three games. He’s rushed the ball 20+ times in 4 games this season. This is my favorite player prop of the night.
