It’s a massive Friday night for MLB baseball on August 23rd, with every 15 games and every single team in action. The American League East is leading the charge when it comes to offenses, as the Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Yankees all have implied team totals above five runs. There are a ton of great Underdog Fantasy pick’em predictions to choose from tonight, but I am confident we can narrow it down to the top choices.

First, I’ll break down my favorite Underdog Fantasy MLB plays of the day; then, you can find a few more suggestions (pick only) at the bottom. Let’s get to it!

Top Underdog Fantasy MLB Picks Today

Vladimir Guerrero Jr – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

The Blue Jays have been hot recently, largely due to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. being one of the best hitters in baseball throughout the second half of the season. Tonight, he projects for 2.13 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections and faces a young pitcher for the Angels who hasn’t been able to strike anyone out in the major leagues. Vladdy boasts a ridiculously high .350 ISO against right-handed pitching over the last month, and I think he sends one out of the park this evening.

Spencer Horwitz – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

Speaking of red-hot Blue Jays, Spencer Horwitz has been phenomenal for them as of late. He has a .257 ISO against right-handed pitching over the last month and has an extra-base hit in 3 straight games. He projects for 1.62 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections. This isn’t a huge differential from his Underdog projection, but we also get an added boost with a 1.17x bonus for this pick on Underdog Fantasy.

Shohei Ohtani – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

It’s another day where we can get Ohtani listed on Underdog Fantasy for 1.5 total bases without a decreased payout, so we’re going to continue to take advantage. Tyler Alexander has actually struck out fewer lefties this year than right-handed bats, and a lefty vs. lefty matchup for Ohtani has never been a problem. Ohtani projects for 2.63 total bases tonight in the RotoGrinders projections.
