Week 3 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings
I think the tight end picture is a little clearer than it usually is for fantasy football in Week 3. Kelce is healthy, so that obviously makes things easier, but there are options below him that make a lot of sense. The tight end position is always volatile. Fantasy football is a tricky one to navigate, but hopefully things are better this week.

Fantasy Football Tight End Notes
It’s only two games, but I think the contrast between Week 1 and Week 2 encapsulates just how important Travis Kelce is to the Kansas City offense. In their season opener (without Kelce), the Chiefs fell to the Lions by a single point. Take away Kelce’s touchdown (and the extra point thereafter), and Week 2 becomes another game decided by one point. As long as he stays healthy, Kelce will likely top these fantasy football TE rankings each week.
Jaylen Waddle is questionable, and Tua has no qualms throwing to his tight end Durham Smythe. Monitor reports, because Smythe could be in for a big workload against the Broncos this week. With Waddle active, Smythe has seen ten targets for six receptions and 67 yards in two games.
For all the bad press rookie tight ends get in fantasy football circles, Sam LaPorta is proving to be a reliable fantasy asset. Across the first two weeks, LaPorta has already hauled in ten catches on eleven targets for 102 yards. He has yet to find the end zone, but it’s only a matter of time. A contest against a run-first Atlanta team this week may not be ideal, but last year, the Falcons were the third worst team at defending tight ends.
Good luck in Week 3!
