If, beyond reason, you started both Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane, you likely put your Week 3 opponent on tilt. The Miami Dolphins acted like the Touchdown Store was going out of business, hauling in ten scores and ending up with an eye-popping 70 points.

But it’s Week 4, and all scoreboards reset to zero. Your own scoreboard could start with a $100 deposit bonus by using the Sleeper promo code GRINDERS and signing up for a new account. This gives new users an opportunity to see what Sleeper Fantasy is all about.

As the weeks roll on, RB rankings become easier to parse; data becomes more abundant, and trends begin to emerge. Let’s take a look at Week 4’s fantasy football RB rankings.

Fantasy Football Running Back Notes

Christian McCaffrey tops the RB rankings for season-long fantasy football this week. Blows your mind, right? Arizona doesn’t defend the pass or the rush well. With over twenty fantasy points in each start so far this week, C-Mac should have no trouble carving up this Cardinals defense.

If you watched the beginning of the Vikings game last week, it seemed as though Alexander Mattison was the only player on the team. He had twenty rush attempts and ended up just seven yards shy of the 100-yard mark. He also grabbed five balls on seven targets for 32 yards. He didn’t find the end zone on any of that, but the workload was more than encouraging. Kenneth Walker had a similar game against the Carolina Panthers last week but was able to score twice. When considering RB rankings for fantasy football each week, volume is key. Mattison certainly has it, and Carolina is now in the bottom five in rushing yards allowed. As long as Cam Akers doesn’t eat into that workload, Mattison should feast.

Jerome Ford made some fantasy managers nervous early on when the replacement for the injured Nick Chubb failed to put up a single statistic in the first quarter. Ford ate his Wheaties and got going for two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving. The Titans defense still proved stingy on the rushing production allowed, only giving up 78 yards on the ground. Ford will face another tough test against the Ravens, a team that also is in the top ten in preventing rushing yardage. This Baltimore defense did just cough up 122 yards to Zack Moss, however.

Good luck in Week 4!

He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
