The sports hiatus continues, but leagues are working on ways to get back to action sooner than later. Unfortunately you won’t be able to bet on the NBA’s pre-taped HORSE competition this weekend, and you’ll have to wait for UFC 249. The good news? The PGA Tour has issued a revised schedule, but you don’t have to wait for mid-June to bet on sports; you can bet on live and future events at legal US sportsbooks this weekend!

2020 NFL Draft Betting Odds

Set to kick off Thursday, April 23, the 2020 NFL Draft is sticking with its original date, albeit virtually, leaving NFL front offices scrambling in preparation for a remote draft.

Less than two weeks away, US sportsbooks have a plethora of NFL draft props to bet on. With other events off their plates, oddsmakers are paying close attention to news from NFL insiders and adjusting accordingly.

We’ve already analyzed how to tackle Tua Tagovailo draft props. At the time, my favorite ways to bet on Tagovailo were +100 to be the second offensive player drafted and -400 to be the second QB drafted.

Odds have fluctuated for the first bet, moving close to -150 last week, and then, in light of reported failed physicals and new information about broken wrists, back down to -110.

I still feel good about Tagovailoa being the no. 2 QB drafted but the recent news is understandably scary if you’re contemplating laying a lot of juice on Tua-related bet. Our own Dan Back points out that there’s value in another Tagovailo draft prop:

2020-21 College Football Futures

Campuses have shut down across the country as classes moved online, yet insiders remain optimistic for the 2020 college football season.

If the college football season commences, the Clemson Tigers are favorites to win the 2021 college football championship, followed by Ohio State and Alabama. Without Joe Burrow, the LSU Tigers are +1400 to defend their 2020 National Championship.

At close to 30-to-1 odds across legal US sportsbooks, the Texas Longhorns are a particularly interesting futures bet. If the season is shortened by, say, omitting the non-conference play, the Texas Longhorns will evade a road trip to Death Valley against LSU.

The Big 12 was down last year and, considering the departure of former Baylor head coach Matt Rhule, could be even worse this year. The Longhorns bring back plenty of experience, including a potential Heisman candidate in senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger.
